The Mothers' Union works to support families both locally and worldwide by fulfilling our aims and objects. Work is undertaken by members who are involved in social policy issues and who raise funds to support our overseas work. On a local level our members offer practical support to families in Lancashire and throughout the Anglican Communion.

Our policy is to give grants to students entering further education for up to four years and one off grants for tools and other equipment to those starting apprenticeships or work training on the job. The area we cover is the ancient parishes of Elm, Emneth and Friday Bridge with Coldham. The charity only gives grants up to the age of twenty five.

To foster interest and participation in and study of the arts in local communities making the arts more accessible and relevant to local communities with a view to improving the quality of life and advance the education of the public and young people in the practice and appreciation of the arts.

Neighbourcare gives assistance to the community in variety of ways: Transport to doctors and hospitals; Shopping; cleaning; gardening; relieving carers; visiting the housebound; sitting service; Home from Hospital Help; Fetching prescriptions; Pop in Service; Filling forms; meals on wheels referrals; Lunch Club, Community Shop and a Silver Surfer Internet Cafe to teach IT skills to the over 50s.

The trust income is paid to the Sir Thomas Mansel Franklen Trust which provides special benefits over and above that provided by the Local Education Authority to Cowbridge Comprehensive School and may provide grants to pupils and former pupils. Trust land remaining is held to be used for the purposes of the School.

The education of the public by promoting, supporting, assisting and improving Bristol's Museums, Galleries & Archives through the activity of a group of supporters.

TO MAINTAIN ST MARY REDCLIFFE AND TEMPLE CHURCH OF ENGLAND SECONDARY SCHOOL AND TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL BENEFITS TO THOSE PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATIONAL AUTHORITY TO ST MARY REDCLIFFE PRIMARY SCHOOL AS WELL AS TO PROVIDE GRANTS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES TO PERSONS WHO HAVE ATTENDED THE SCHOOL AND ARE IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Runs one charity shop and other fundraising events to support Danesbury Neurological Centre (an NHS facility treating adults with neurological problems) and Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital (which provides rehabilitation following a stay in an acute hospital) as well as occasional support to other Hertfordshire NHS facilities providing similar rehabilitation.

The Phyllis Wallbank Educational Trust provides properties for education and educational research. It also makes grants to individuals. Full details of the aims and objectives of the charity are published on the charity's website.

The trustees operate a grant giving policy, providing funds for such charitable object or instituions as the trustees think fit.

The charity makes grants and bursaries to individuals in aid of technical education connected to industries in the automotive, aerospace and coachmaking sectors. It also supports charitable institutions and voluntary bodies and members of the UK armed services .The charity raises charitable funds mainly from its members but also raises funds from the general public from time to time.

The Trustees have continued their policy of mainly supporting charities active in the fields of care for young and older people, health, education and religion.

The Charity aims to advance the study of and conduct research into any art or science for the public benefit; to receive, educate and train students and members of the general public in drama, opera, music and other arts, to promote, maintain, improve and advance the cultural experience and education of the public at large and the public appreciation of the arts.

Patient-run: website, booklets, a helpline run by trained volunteers who can answer medical questions and counsel people with any psychological worries. For subscribers: quarterly journals, leaflets on all aspects of the virus, meetings, seminars.Re shingles and neurogenic pain, we supply a 17-page information pack. This pain is especially severe in the elderly and is difficult to treat.

The Environmental Law Foundation (ELF) helps people use the law to protect and improve the environment in their local area. ELF delivers legal advice services, community outreach activities, training and research, and aims to advance environmental justice for all.

The charity makes grants to other charitable organisations

Beacon Lodge is a grant-making charity. We support other registered charities which promote the care, safety and upbringing of children by:-(1) supporting and assisting those in need, their families and carers(2) promoting their health; and(3) advancing their education.
