Grant Making Charity

The relief of poverty and the advancement of education of children and other needy people in Malawi largely by making grants to Aquaid Lifeline Malawi, an independent charity based in Malawi which is responsible for the day to day relief work.

The Assist Fund supports those members of the Service, past and present and their dependants, who find themselves in need. Predominantly a grant making charity our vision is that no one in the Assist Fund Family should face adversity alone. We have recently expanded our objects to support the serving members of the Service more effectively . We operate predominantly in England and Wales

The charity is established for the promotion of any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in the area of Salford.

Edward Connor Solicitor seeks to achieve its objects by providing legal advice, trustee training andpractical advice services to churches, charities and organisations who are inagreement with, and conduct their affairs consistently with, the Statement of Faith. Further, an advice line is provided to all FIEC churches, providing 30 minutes of free advice on any matter.

Citizens Advice 1066 provides information, advice and guidance on the full range of advice issues, including debt, employment rights, benefits, housing and consumer issues. The service is free, confidential, impartial and independent. As well as giving advice we campaign to get policies changed. This is based on the experience and needs of our clients.

The Trust is established is to advance the education of the public in archaeology. The means by which it may do this include the undertaking of archaeological works, the provision of archaeological advice, the publication of the results of such works, and the safe-keeping of archaeological materials and records.

Advice Services

The Lantern is an independent charity, founded in 1983 which seeks to benefit vulnerable and marginised people in the Weymouth and Portland area through its resource centre and by working closely and professionally with other agencies. The Lantern offers a range of services including advocacy,housing, benefits advice, counselling, support groups, crisis response, frontline practical support.

The Charity operates in Dorset and Hampshire, operating 13 Charity Shops.The profits of which are used to help and support those who have, or have had Breast Cancer.ie equipment needed in Hospitals that would not have been supplied by the NHS.The Charity has also set up it's own Breast Cancer Support Centre in Wimborne, where financial help and advice can be given regarding post op wigs/bras

School Food Matters exists to teach children about food and to improve children's access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully-funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.

Working Families mission is to remove the barriers that people with caring responsibilities face in the workplace. We drive positive change by supporting and advocating for working parents and carers, collaborating with employers to build flexible and family-friendly cultures, and influencing government policy.

Promotes cycling for the benefit of the public (by providing expert advocacy to improve cycling policy, and also by directly encouraging/enabling people to cycle) for health, fun, environmental, social and economic reasons.

Advances the education of the public with reference to Ancient and Medieval Egypt and countries in the same region, and promotes art, culture and heritage by raising knowledge, awareness and understanding of the language, history, arts, culture, religion and all other matters relating to Ancient and Medieval Egypt and countries in the same region.

The following principal activities and services contribute to the achievement of our objectives; the provision of a telephone helpline, practical help in the home, classes, publications, clinical research, quarterly magazine, website, campaigning on issues that impact on the multiple birth community, specialist support groups, events, and links with local clubs and related organisations.

Provision of sheltered retirement housing, mandatory and discretionary grants to St. Clement Danes School and grants to organisations in Westminster for the relief of need.

The charity makes grants to organisations that support our mission to advance the efforts to combat loneliness in young adults, empower youth to reach their potential regardless of their circumstances, and reduce plastic pollution.

THE PROVISION OF LEGAL ADVICE AND REPRESENTATION TO CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHERE LEGAL AID IS NOT POSSIBLE; AND THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT AND ADVICE IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION , WELFARE, HOUSING, EMPLOYMENT, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE MISUSE.THE PROVISION OF TRAINING TO LAWYERS WORKING WITH CHILDREN AND CHILD RELATED MATTERS.

The objectives of the Trust, through its grant-making, are the advancement of science and medicine, health and disability, education, the arts and humanities. The Trust pursues these activities, usually by the provision of buildings and equipment.
