The Richard Kirkman Trust is a grant making charity, it's income being derived solely from funds invested. Grants for general use and for the benefit of individuals, covering a wide spectrum of social needs, are made to charities and organisations which have a material effect within Hampshire.

Offer Employment advice and guidance, IT training, Job-search, women development and counselling, healthy living, ESOL and other activities to benefit the local community at large.

The objects of the Society are to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of choral music by the presentation of public concerts and other activities involving or relating to choral music.

RELIEVING NEED FOR MINISTERS (ACTIVE OR RETIRED) OF CONGREGATIONAL AND BAPTIST CHURCHES AND OF THE UNITED REFORMED CHURCH IN ENGLAND AND WALES AND FOR WIDOWS OF SUCH MINISTERS RESIDENT IN ENGLAND. THE TRUSTEES APPLY THE INCOME OF THE TRUST BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY OR PROVIDING ITEMS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES CALCULATED TO REDUCE THE NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS OF BENEFICIARIES

During the year the Trust received around 500 applications from referral agencies on behalf of clients in need; most of these were supported. Project grants to Community Associations and Schools were also supported. Beneficiaries must live within the boundary of the former Metropolitan Borough of St Pancras.

Money is raised through the charity shops to make grants, as decided by the trustees, to local groups serving the Bacup community. Clothing, bedding and toys, as and when available in the shops are given to those who for any reason find themselves in desperate need, usually by referral. As a group of churches we work together to promote the Christian faith through ecumenical events

To provide grants to help children and young people including those with SEN/SEND in their education and training.

education of the public in conservation of the natural environment, with an emphasis on research and scientific study, particularly of otters.

TO PROVIDE SAFE, SECURE ENVIRONMENT AND CHILDCARE IN WHICH CHILDREN AGE 2-5 YEARS CAN LEARN & DEVELOP THROUGH PLAY. WE HAVE EXTRA SPACES FOR 2 YEAR FUNDED CHILDREN AND ARE A STRONG SEND PROVISION. WE PROVIDE CHILDREN WITH EXPERIENCES AND WORK WITH THE ELDERLY ON A REGENERATIONAL PROGRAMME IN THE COMMUNITY, WE REGULARLY VISIT THE LOCAL FARM, SHOPS AND LIBRARY.

To advance the education of the public whether in the United Kingdom or overseas in all matters relating to the African arts in all their forms, including but not limited to theatre, dance, music, cinema, architecture, literature and the visual arts. The charity raises funds and administers the Caine Prize for African writing.

The charity provides day care (including transport,bathing, a shopping service, advocacy and recreational activities) for people over 60 and who are isolated for whatever reason living in a radius of 7 miles of Halstead town.

The Charity can only make grants to or for the benefit of residents of the City of Lichfield.As well as fuel grants, grants may be made to individuals who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress or to organisations whose aims are to provide or pay for items which will benefit the recipient.

The presentation of dramatic and musical art for the education of the public.

The Benevolent Fund makes grants and affords assistance to necessitous persons who are members or former members, or dependants of members or former members, of the Institution of Structural Engineers.

To provide equipment and facilities for the benefit of the hospital's patients and their families by money raised by operating a small teabar shop plus other fundraising events or through donations received.
