6 Trustees oversee the work of Family Help Darlington CIO which provides a holistic package of support including refuge accommodation, Darlington's Women's Refuge, was founded in 1976 (charity reg no 506051) in order to provide safe, temporary accommodation for women and women with children fleeing domestic abuse. There is also a telephone helpline for victims/survivors of domestic abuse.

The objects of the charity are to promote and advance the study and practice of the diagnosis, treatment and cure of eye disease in Gloucestershire and to carry out and make grants for research into eye disease.

The relief of the dependants of such persons or of any such persons who have died and who are in need, hardship or distress.The promotion of research into the causes and treatment of illness and disease in particular kidney disease.Making grants to charitable organisations.

The Charity makes grants and donations to other charities or organisations and entitiies established for charitable purposes

Activities include: Food for all programme, nutritious take away, Credit Union, Advocacy Support, Job Search, Foodbank, Youthgroup, Pop up Ping Pong Parlour, Community Gardens, intergenerational learning, Dementia Cafe, Activities and free snacks for children and young people during school holidays, community gardening, partnership work with schools and other local groups.

To advance further the Islamic faith by providing for the erection and maintenance in the East London, of a fitting Mosque to be used by Muslims of East London and from any other part of the world for worship according to the religion of Islam.To advance the education of the public in particular but not exclusively in the Muslim Community of London.

The charity is a grant-making charity which primarily provides grants to charities concerned with animal welfare and charities that help people in need or that further educational projects through interaction with animals.

To provide grants for educational needs to young people under 25 and resident in the Lakes Parish, and to the voluntary schools (and to academies that were formerly voluntary schools) in the Lakes Parish. Grants may also be given to groups or organisations where the members satisfy the age and residence requirements. Considerable aid is given to young people with special needs.

Promote independence of those who have been affected by substance misuse, by providing support and information eg: access to local support networks; manage/organise educational and learning events; provide life skills training, information and services designed to enable independent living; make grants of money or provide items or services to improve quality of life.

The Lucy Rayner Foundation exists to raises awareness of the signs and symptoms of depression and mental ill health in young adults, to support young adults and their families through campaigning, education and training. We offer a wrap around service from free 1 2 1 counselling and support groups to a dedicated suicide bereavement service. We also offer bespoke training and workshops.

To ensure that individuals do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the service available to them or through an inability to express their needs effectively. And equally,to exercise a responsible influence on both the development of social policies and services, both locally and nationally.

We aim to embed mentally healthy movement in primary school aged children by shaping the culture, policy and provision of movement to support children's mental health. We develop and deliver products and services to help organisations, such as schools, understand and improve how to support staff and children in positively shaping their mental health.
