We are a community brass band and help local community groups with their fundraising activities. We provide our members with free instruments and tuition.

The charity carries out fund-raising activities in the nature of selling bric-a-brack and holding raffles. Income is also generated by holding a staff lottery. The charity makes donations to NHS organisations in Barnsley for the benefit of patients and staff.

The club caters for the health, welfare and leisure of residents in the Worsbrough area, through bowling provision:- of a competitive and social nature. It provides facilities for spectators and shelter for disabled and able-bodied people. The club has a wide range of equipment, for learners and a qualified coach. It is open to all.

We support run groups for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We meet weekly during term time and offer a full programme of activities, and also offer residential camps.

Thurgoland PFSA is made up of a group of parent from a small primary school. We organise a number of social and found raising activities throughout the year.This includes - 4 school Disco'sSelling refreshments at the end of year productions, sports day and any events organised by the school.We organise various fates throughout the year.
