We are part of the Nationwide Initiative of Street Pastors. We patrol the streets in the centre of Barnsley, between 10pm and 4am, every Saturday night, some Friday nights, and on various Bank Holidays. Our aim is to spread the Christian Gospel in a practical way by helping people who are: lost; in distress; injured; affected by alcohol or drugs; or who simply want someone to talk to.

Dan's Helping Hand main objective is to provide financial assistance for funeral costs to families of young adults who have died, primarily as a result of terminal illness, such as cancer. This has been achieved by successful application for a grant of £500 per family yo funeral costs.

To provide modest financial assistance to individuals resident in the villages of Birwell and Worsbro Village,in order to alleviate acute personal hardship or distress which cannot be relieved from public funds and to offer modest financial support to other organisation/charities providing assistance to residents.

Financial support for the work of The Society of St Wilfrid and St Hilda, in the Anglican Diocese of Leeds

A mixed voice choir 16 members. Meets once a week for singing practice. Gives concerts to local organisations, some of them charitable and most of them run for the elderly. Members subscriptions just covers expense of hire of hall, musical directors and accompanist fees.

Money generated from investments is distributed each December to specified churches for distribution by the priests to the poor of their area of Barnsley in cash or kind.

To provide advice, support to deafblind individuals residing in Yorkshire. This includes children and adults and their families.The charity aims to promote awareness and learning in the area of deafblindness to those families living in Yorkshire.

We supply users, specifically members confined to a wheelchair, or those who need to compete from a wheelchair, with the facilities and equipment to participate in a large number of sports. eg. Basketball, Archery, Bowls, Wheelchair Rugby, Table Tennis, Snooker, Pool, Sailing, Weight training and fitness, Air Rifle and Pistol etc.

The aims are to provide and ensure a cleaner, greener, safer environment for all those making lawful use of the cemetery.
