Small grants in support of Christian religion in Freshford parish, and support of St Peter's Church, Freshford

We undertake fund raising activities which will enable us to make small donations (typically of around £250) to small local charities, especially those supporting disabilities, children and animals.

Makes charitable donations to the following categories of local people: the elderly in need; those in poor health; those who are unemployed; 6th Form, College or University students; and parents/guardians of children needing help with the cost of school books or uniforms.

Once a year Christmas gift to elderly and poorer villagers and occasional emergencies. Purely local - no website or e-mail. Trustees known to villagers. Chair the Rev Simon Lewis.

Each December the trustees meet and distribute the income received from Chew Stoke United Charities to individuals and families, both young and elderly, resident in the parish of Chew Stoke who are in need of assistance. The charity does not fundraise and its annual income is small.

William Webb Trust owns an agricultural field in Blagdon and the annual rent from this field is distributedThe prevention or relief of poverty in the village of Compton Martin by providing: grants etc. Promote the education (including social and physical training) of people under the age of 25 years living in the village of Compton Martin etc.

Promotion of religious education in accordance with the principles & doctrine of the Church of England by means of Sunday Schools or in such other ways as most trustees think fit.

The objects of the charity are advancement of education in the art and science of musicians and in particular to 1) provide specialist tuition and performance for young musicians in the field of authentic performance practice; and 2) to provide bursaries to assist in the purchase of instruments for young musicians. All are undertaken to further our charitable purposes for the public benefit.

We operate in the Lansdown area of Bath, providing services for those in need, particularly the elderly. Our chief activities are the provision of regular weekly shopping trips in our minibus and holding a monthly coffee morning.
