We run music and creative arts therapy workshops from our Darwen based community recording studio with marginalised and under privileged young people. As well as the therapeutic value of the engagement, we also up-skill and offer qualification opportunities to all.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation, primarily but not exclusively, for the benefit of the inhabitants of Darwen, Blackburn and the surrounding areas by the provision of facilities for swimming and associated activities.

The charity is advancing the education of the pupils in school, in particular; by developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school and engaging in activities or providing facilities / equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

Disciplined, uniformed group of young people who follow broadly a nautical theme based on customs & traditions of the Royal Navy. Activities include: participation in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme; training in sailing; canoeing; target shooting; and participation in a number of sports. The young people also are given the opportunity to take part in activity based camps and visit Royal Naval ships.

To advance the education of the public in the islamic faith, specifically the Qu'ran (regardless of their faith) and thosewho wish to read and recite the islamic scripture in its original arabic script and the operation of a Madrash providingand assisting in the provision of education facilities (not required to be provided by the Local Education Authority).

Focused Youth, primarily operates out of Blackburn Lancashire, offering free martial arts and fitness classes to youths within the town. We endeavour to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of our participants, while acting as mentors and role models to our members. We also aim to use martial arts training as a vehicle for social integration for youngsters from different ethnic backgrounds.

A road safety promotion organisation by delivering Advanced Riding Advice as part of the Institute of Advanced Motorists. A team of volunteer Observers offer one-to-one riding skills advice to prepare candidates for their IAM test.

The charities activities include the prevention and relief of poverty in India by providing or assisting in the provision of grants, healthcare or welfare projects to individuals in need. Also providing to other charities and organisation working to prevent and relieve poverty.

We raise money to enhance school life by funding special projects and purchasing items for children at St Mary School Mellor.

We offer educational courses to the general public that provide knowledge and an understanding of the Islamic religion.We also provide opportunities for the general public to take part in Prophetic sports including archery.

To support Blackburn Anglican Cathedral by way of improvements to the fabric, facilities and contents, and to support its pastoral work, to which end monies are raised by subscriptions and donations plus fund-raising activities.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES & EDUCATION/TRAINING

To treat injured hedgehogs and wherever possible release them back into the wild. To care for those hedgehogs that cannot be released.To educate both children and adults about hedgehogs and their environment.

The aims of the charity are:To advance the Education of the public, (particularly those under the age of 25,) on the dangers of violence and the serious consequences of these actions. To promote learning about individual responsibilities highlighting the consequences of anti-social and violent behaviour for victims and people who carry out violent acts.

Welfare of elderly people, health and education in the UK and in Pakistan

The Belmont PTA exists to provide financial support to Belmont CP School. In doing so it enriches the pupils social and academic activities. It also serves to integrate the school into the wider community.

We raise funds to provide community public access automated external defibrillators for the benefit of local communities, training on their use and advice and assistance relating to the acquisition of AED's and installations within communities across the North West of England
