Since closure of the Centre, these clients are now located at either the Great Missenden Garden Nursery, or at "Outreach" at the Chesham Opportunities Centre in Chesham.

The charity supports students whose parents/guardians face unforeseen difficulties in paying the fees.

The WI plays an important role in the life of the local community. The speakers at the monthly meetings cover a wide range of subjects: travel, healthcare, cooking, arts,crafts and history. Outings are arranged to places of interest. We also cater at many village events. We take a great interest in current affairs and have mounted national campaigns.

We raise funds by way of sponsored events, and participation events, such as Quizes and Bridge evenings, for the specific support of 3 charities; The North London Hospice, Ovarian Cancer Research at the Oxford University, and Singing for Memories run by Jewish Care.

Interest in national, regional and rural affairs as it affects women and their families

The provision of a weeks summer holiday, at no charge, to local children aged 4 to 11. The activities include worship, teaching, craft, games, and singing.

We maintain the village hall for the use of our community for parish meetings, evening classes for adults and children, church groups, coffee mornings and general social gatherings for all ages.

Support for the friends and relatives of young persons who have died in Thame and the surrounding area by providing a memorial to the lost youth of Thame and villages.
