WE HAVE PROVIDED GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS TO ASSIST THEM WITH EXPENSES WHILE THEY TRAIN TOWARDS ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD

The Society runs an annual program of 12 talks, open to members and visitors, on topics that are relevant to the history and culture of Hebden Bridge and the surrounding area. The Society maintains a catalogued archive of original documents, maps, photographs, recordings, artefacts and books at the Birchcliffe Centre in Hebden Bridge. It also publishes books on the history of the area.

Organising social & fundraising events. Making donations to Triangle C of E Primary School, Butterworth Lane, SOWERBY BRIDGE, West Yorks

We are a dedicated group of 'friends', who hold several successful social events, including a traditional May Day Fete, and a christmas fair, as well as several other events throughout the year. We aim to provide an enhanced school experience for all pupils.

1) To promote the craft of woodturning for the public benefit and in doing so raise the appreciation of the creativity, skill and heritage of woodturning.2) To advance the education of the public in the craft and skill of woodturning.

Raise funds for local and international charities

The relief of the poor and needy or other charitable purpose.

Youth and Community Work in Communities suffering the effects of Economic and Social Deprivation throughout the Yorkshire Region of England

Providing Scouting activities in accordance with the objects of the Scout Association.

To Provide Benefit and Assistance to Vetrans of the 1914-1918 or 1939-1945 Wars who are resident in Todmorden, their immediate families, or the needy people of Todmorden.

We hold various activities throughout the year to raise funds for the children at school ie. Valentines Disco, Hx Gala stall, Race Evening, Secret Santa. We use the money to buy additional equipment for the children - ie. New football strips, drinking bottles for water, new blinds for the hall, new gym outfits - leotards for competitions. New games/toys for the wet playtime boxes. etc.

The advancement of the Islamic faith in particular the Islamic faith Sunni Hanafi Brelvi Sect in Halifax in particular by: the provision of an educational institute for the use of students the appointment of qualified teachers and support workers to support service users the provision of creche and nursery facilities to build relationships with other institutes and scholars

Provide a sports field for the village

Welfare of serving and ex-serving Air Force people and their dependants

Provide small donations (--ú200) to smaller charities in the North of England and sometimes further afield world wide disasters. The RNLI and Action Medical Research receive larger donations in excess of --ú1,000.

To advance the education of the pupils in the school in particular by: developing effective relationships between the staff, parents,children and others associated with the school; engaging in activities or provide facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils

Advance religion in accordance with the doctrines of the Church of England by providing short religious education courses, so that those attending might review their Christian commitment and practice Christian principles in everyday life, thus helping others to discover and achieve a Christian way of life. Providing ongoing support to members and encouraging them to be active in their parishes.

General charitable activities- local,& overseas- children/young people, people with disabilties- other charities/voluntary bodies.

To monitor the renovation, refurnishing and social use of the disused railway station building at Mytholmroyd

Relief of sickness & distress for kidney patients - especially those receiving/having received treatment for kidney disease at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust - includes support provision, advice & information to families/carers of such patientsEducating the public concerning kidney diseases & their treatments- particularly promoting donation of organs for transplantationPromoting research

Fundraising events to help provide funding within school for the education of the children.

Social afternoon on Tuesday's. Sequence dance Saturday evenings

Roller skate Parties for young people, Pantomime Society,Coffee Mornings for older people,Provision of School Uniform Exchange Facility and Room Rentals for Community Groups.
