Community Hall for local groups and organisations

The main activity is to administer and monitor the Village Institute providing facilities for the community it serves through the groups and individuals that regularly use the premises and to encourage new groups and other usage. The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit and always keep this in mind when making decisions.

Scouting

The club raises money for good causes, helps people in need in the local community and contributes to Lions' good causes in the UK and internationally. It also organises and helps to organise a number of major events throughout the year as well as being involved in many other smaller projects.

The Group is a unit of the Scout Association whose aim is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals and responsible citizens. School PTA

To raise money for use by Chesterton Community College to buy equipment to enhance the learning experience of our students across all ages and abilities.

The charity awards grants with an emphasis on the promotion of research into kidney disease and arthritis/rheumatism; research into the prevention of still-birth and neonatal death; the relief of suffering due to cancer through the provision or nursing and practical assistance; the provision of assistance to the frail/elderly and infirm and preservation of woodland in the UK.

Promotes annual competitive festival of dance

We run a Scout Group meeting in our own headquarters. We offering a range of activities for young people aged 6 to 18 developing their skills for life.

Within the school and wider community, we organise and deliver fundraising events. We raise money for a variety of equipment and activities for the benefit of all children attending Highfield School, which the school is unable to purchase from statutory funds. We support the development of new opportunities, including work experience and enterprising activities.
