SCOUTING

Provision of age-related financial assistance to people aged at 90 years living within a radius of 25 miles of York Minster.

To promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of older people within the City of York and its environs. To help represent the views of those people to national and local decision makers. To help those people to know what services and opportunities are available to them. To help to identify the needs and interests of those people not being met by existing services.

Community Village Hall / Reading Room

The Group operates in accordance with the Policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association providing training to youngsters between the ages 6 to14 years of age in three sections (Beavers,Cub Scouts and Scouts).

The Friends of York Cemetery raise funds to support the York Cemetery Trust, volunteers and the running of the Cemetery. Educational days, genealogy, grave searches and walks round the Cemetery are organised covering an array of topics.

York Racial Equality Network provide independent, impartial information and mutual support to individuals who are experiencing racial harassment, victimisation, discrimination or isolation. Aim to promote awareness of the needs of black and minority ethnic people in the York and NY area by developing links with appropriate voluntary, statutory agencies and by encouraging a multi-agency approach.

Primary School Education

Equine Pathways UK provides equine interactive sessions for children and adults, going through life changing and challenging situations.We off tailor made, individual and group sessions to our centre users, supporting people in need within the community.

Fulford School fund exists for the provision of advancing education of the pupils of Fulford School by providing or assisting in the provision of facilities for the education of the pupils of the school not provided by the LEA.The school continues to raise funds for towards improving provision and opportunities for students in the school including school trips and charitable fundraising.

Providing financial assistance for housing needs, in the form of non-repayable grants or loans at low or no interest; assistance with residential accommodation and the repair and improvement of such accommodation; and helping those who are aged or disabled in the provision of proper care.

The objectives of the Group are to run the most attractive possible programme in accordance with Scout Association rules and objectives.

Furthering secondary education through the funding of applicable equipment for the school. This education is available to the general public in the school's catchment area. Funds raised through various events.

Grants for the religious and other charitable work of Quakers in Yorkshire and making grants for other charitable objects with an emphasis on religious charities, animal charities and charities for elderly people, children and disabled persons and for peace and reconciliation. It is the Trust's practice not make more than one grant to the same organisation within a period of 18 months

To run events at the school which are either fund-faising events or which bring together pupils staff and parents in an informal and fun way.To provide grants to the school to purchase equipment and resources as identified by staff at the school.

We run events at Scarcroft Primary School in York. They include summer and Christmas fairs, junior talent night, Rag-Bag collections and other social events or fundraising events.

We hold regular meetings on the third Saturday in the month with the exception of December.Some meetings have a business section followed by a talk or demonstration given by a visiting textile artist. Other meetings are used to practice and share our skills.We also demonstrate our crafts at local events and shows.

Our passion is to help people less fortunate, youth and the elderly within our community and beyond. We are part of Lions Clubs International and operate around the villages to the East and South of York. Our activities include the organisation of a Summer Charity Concert, an Xmas party for the elderly, Santa's Sleigh, Xmastree recycling and running a Coconut Shy at village fetes plus many more..

We are a non profit, foster based small animal rescue. Our aim is to help small animals in need in and around Keighley.

Principal activity is the organisation of the annual Tockwith & District Agricultural and Horticultural show.
