The Parents, Teacher and Friends Association is a social, fundraising and support network consisting of parents, staff and friends of the school.The object of the charity is: " To advance the education of pupils at Ysgol y Gogarth by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities (not required to be provided by the Local Educational Authority) for education at the school.

To provide quality out of school childcare for pupils of Ysgol Cynfran in a safe environment. The provision can be accessed by children from Nursery age to Year 6 and is staffed primarily by school staff to ensure continuity for the children.

We provide grants to other charities and voluntary organisations who share our vision to preserve and protect physical and mental health for the benefit of the inhabitants of Chester and the surrounding areas. We aim to address health inequalities and improve wellbeing.

Our purpose is to actively engage and support girls and boys, between the ages of 6 to 14, in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society focusing on youth development, life skills, positive contribution, and building a better world through a value-based program for young people.

The purpose of scouting is to promote the development of young people (girls & boys) in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

The primary activity is learning-based, to support and develop the range of interest groups run by and for members.

We are a Brass Band Charity. We compete in various competitions within Wales and the UK. We hold Concerts and have a youth band, junior Band and a community social band. We serve the community taking part in fetes and fundraising events.

To advance the education of the general public in the appreciation and understanding of the musical arts, in particular, choral singing.

The charity supports underprivileged Families throughout North Wales. By ensuring that all referred Children and Young People/Care leavers, receive gifts to open at Christmas time. Offering a trip to the Pantomime for 100 people during the festive period. Offering Free holidays to families in need of a break, in our fully disabled adapted caravan on Hafan Y Mor, Pwllheli.

Gafael Llaw?s main purpose is to relieve sickness and to preserve the health of children with cancer by providing funds for the provision of equipment, facilities and services not normally provided by the statutory authorities in Dewi Ward, Ysbyty Gwynedd (Children?s Ward); Alder Hey Children?s Hospital; and to Clic Sargent.

The Holyhead Sea Cadet Unit serves to provide young people with a variety of activity, training and fun activities related to maritime practices. The cadets are regularly involved in community activities and fund raising for their purposes and alo for local charities. The unit serves many young people who live in an area of serious economic and employment challenges.

COMMUNITY CENTRE

To further benefit the residents of Towyn & Kinmel Bay and surrounding neighbourhood, with out distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by providing facilities in the iterests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time and to establish or secure the establishment of a community centre for such a purpose.

To provide accommodation for local people in almshouse accommodation & to maintain the accommodation.

The promotion of agriculture, for the public benefit, in particular but not exclusively by:Promoting responsible working sheepdog ownership, breeding and training.Promoting matters pertaining to dog welfare in general. Improving the working standard of working sheepdogs by organising and promoting open and members only sheepdog trials.

Provides after school care for children of primary school age.

To Provide adults with a safe and fun evening where they can meet there friends. We meet up every Wednesday between 6pm & 8pm

The Charity provides grants of up to £150 for individuals representing the town and £800 (with some exceptions) for Clubs / Schools / Associations and Societies with all or most members living within the Community boundaries of the town of Llanrwst.
