The object of St. Ives Sailing School is the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the residents of Cornwall and surrounding regions by the provision of facilities for learning to sail. We apply for funding so that we can train people to sail, in order that they might benefit from the mental and physical health advantages that this activity bestows.

Gwithian Chapel Ltd owns and maintains Gwithian Chapel as a community asset, ensuring it remains open and useful to our community, and saving it from private development . This unique II* listed building, open to the public since 1810, is Cornwall's last thatched Methodist chapel. The trustees and membership of our club are actively involved in playing and promoting the game of flat green bowls. The facilities are available to participants of all ages, levels and abilities and provides opportunities for recreation and competition.

Provision of grants to young people living in the Liskeard area of Cornwall (postcode PL14), who are between the ages of 16 and 21 years who are pursuing a nationally recognised qualification or a qualification which is recognised by the trade organisation appropriate to the career. Grants can used towards the cost of training or expenses incurred, such as travel, tools or equipment.
