The Friends of Rescorla seek to promote the study and celebration of Cornish culture. Based in the village of Rescorla's old Methodist Chapel in mid-Cornwall, the Centre is developing a series of cultural and educational initiatives in association with Cornish Story (www.cornishstory.com). The centrepiece of its activities is an annual festival programme at Rescorla commencing in June 2008.

Gospel outreach, locally,and support for missions in UK and overseas

We raising funds to purchase a plots of land to create a burial garden where families can lay their beloved sons and daughters, born through a late miscarriage to rest. A place to give comfort for grieving families. And a place to show the world our much loved babies existed with meaning and purpose.

A Music Festival providing competitions in all disciplines of Music for young and old, soloists and groups. Held annually in November.

To advance the education of children and young people in the South West of England who are identified as having high academic potential but face barriers in progressing their educational aspirations due to social or economic disadvantage.

The relief of persons resident in the area of benefit who are in need, hardship or distress.

Raising funds by selling Nepali products purchased directly from cooperatives of disadvantaged women in Nepal; organising musical and other events in southern England. Developing links between English and Nepali schools, seeking donors and those who can support the work of Ashraya Nepal, particularly volunteers who are prepared to travel and offer their services.

SUPPORT OF HANDICAPPED PEOPLE FROM CORNWALL

The management of the Cornwall Youth Brass Band - a brass band for young people. Two courses are held each year, One at Christmas and one at Easter. Each culminates in a public concert.

Supporting the Porthleven Surgery with the purchase following fund raising of medical equipment and the servicing costs of some equipment when necessary.

Environmental interpretation in the field for educational groups and members of the general public. We publish booklets with landscape themes, based on a walk in areas of interest. Our booklets are sold from our web-site website www.thematic-trails.org. and through outlets in selected areas of particular interest. We also market selected booklets published by like-minded organisations.

The charity provides buildings for the use of village groups and organisations to hold meetings, events, sporting fixtures and fund raising

Village hall is used for council meetings elections, keep fit, W.I., church meetings, committee meeting, coffee mornings.

Fundraising for benefit of Holsworthy College- a secondary school in a rural area. Funds are donated for equipment.

Promote conservation and biodiversity improvement of agricultural/amenity land in North Cornwall. Provide public benefit and education by allowing access to land where such is possible. Monitoring of local water vole and mink populations and maintained public access to Kilkhampton Common.

Relief of poverty in parish of Fowey, Cornwall

The trust was funded in 1973 on the sale of St. Martins School and covered the ecclesiastical parish of St. Martin-by-Looe. The purpose of the trust is to promote education of persons who have not attained the age of 25 years and are, in the opinion of the trustees, in need of financial assistance.

The main focus of our activities is to support the education of children aged 4-11 by financially supplementing activities and equipment as needed. Current fund raising activities include refreshments for the community Black Prince celebrations and Sports Day, Summer and Christmas Fayres and an annual Auction
