Holds public events such as talks and observing sessions; provides access to equipment such as telescopes and binoculars so that the public can enjoy views of planets, stars, galaxies and other objects in space for themselves; provides information and advise that enables the public to explore the night sky for themselves and provides facilities and access to open spaces for astronomy.

We are a small charity with a small amount of money available to suitable good causes within St. Day and the surrounding area.The charitable causes are discussed and chosen at quarterly meetings held by the Trustees throughout the year.

Groups are formed from members who wish to pursue a particular interest or activity and are generally led or co-ordinated by one of their number. Membership of any group is open to all members subject to any necessary limitation on numbers by virtue of the activity carried out.

Raising funds to support Coverack School

The Village Hall is used by members of the village as a meeting place for physical, mental and social activities, it is hired out for the use of disabled youths, and various local associations.

STOKE CLIMSLAND WOMEN'S INSTITUTE is a member of the Cornwall Federation of Women's Institutes, part of the National Federation of Women's Institutes. It seeks to further in our locality the WI's aims of providing opportunities for women to make friends, attend talks, demonstrations and classes, and to promote joint discussion and action over issues of local, national and international importance.

General Charitable purposes

The charity receives applications from Police officers or members of Police staff in Devon and Cornwall, requesting an item/voucher etc. to be donated to a victim, witness or another person adversely affected by crime. The charity decides what to purchase, if anything, and this is sent to the officer/member of staff to deliver in person, acting as a morale boost for all involved.

FOBC advances the Christian religion by the restoration and maintenance of the Parish Church of Boconnoc, and promotes interest in its care.To do this FOBC (inter alia): recruits members who pay a subscription, give donations and participate in events; arranges exhibitions, meetings, lectures and classes; publishes a newsletter; and raises funds by arranging events in the Church or otherwise

To relieve sickness and promote and protect the good health of people in Tanzania in particular but not exclusively by providing equipment and information about the causes, treatment and prevention of malaria. To advance education of the public, in particular but not exclusively amongst entomologists, parasitologists and those involved in the treatment of those suffering from malaria.

Work with other community groups to benefit the Bodmin community/

Provides Carriage Driving for disabled teenagers and adults.

To promote for the benefit of children and young people in Newlyn, Paul and Mousehole, in the interests of social welfare, the provision of facilities which further their education, improve their physical and mental health and provide for their recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving their condition of life.

To extend understanding of international affairs and tolerance of ideologies, races and religions, primarily through the series of annual lectures

To advance conservation for the public benefit of cuttlefish in the United Kingdom, European and international waters through education, promoting and disseminating research into such conservation and seeking to achieve their sustainable management.

Fundraising events such as Sponsored Walks, Summer Fairs, Quiz Evenings and BBQs to raise money for the children of Braddock School

Fund raising to support the school's activities and to purchase play and educational equipment for the children of Garras School.
