We are part of the Church of England. Our Vision document is entitled Passionate Disciples. Our values are, Jesus Centred, Bible Centred and Gospel Centred. We have three aims, Enjoying God from his word, Loving one another, Sharing Gods word so that others enjoy him. The church supports Christian mission in local and national contexts and poverty relief in the UK and abroad.

Support of disadvantaged students at Ullswater Community College enabling them to take part in extra-curricular activities organised by the College.Donations to other Charities are made from funds raised by students as part of their Citizenship studies.Awards to students who have worked diligently to achieve outstanding work.Awarding bursaries to gifted and talented students.

Spring Mount Christian Fellowship (SMCF) is an independent Christian church family based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. Activities include Sunday worship services and various other regular activities for all age ranges, all designed to reach others for Christ, teach people about Christ, grow people in Christ and send people for Christ.

Create safe, community space for all to connect and play - accessible to all families, carers and children who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving their conditions of life, by the provision of such play facilities.

To provide sheltered housing for elderly people in a safe environment with support and advice if required. Organise appropriate social activities for their well being.

We are a purely voluntary organisation. The people who greet you in the lodge and take your money and set up the equipment for you are all members who have volunteered, as are the ground staff, club officers and our highly-trained team of instructors.

The Kendal Methodist Circuit is part of the Cumbria Methodist District. The Circuit supports Methodist Churches in Kendal and the surrounding area in their mission and outreach.

Our aim is to raise awareness of visual impairment through training packages. The package product gives a simulation of various eye conditions and the difficulties faced by visual impaired people in their everyday living. We also aim to assist visually impaired people living in the North East of England by awarding grants twice a year.

A local Community animal charity that provides sanctuary for distressed animals in the Furness and South Lakes area. We help families struggling financially hardship with cost of living crisis. Founded in 1987. Then transitioned to a CIO status on 1 Jan 2023.AWF supports people getting back into work and education for our young people in primary schools.

Our Charity aims to provide (a) a place of worship for Orthodox Christians who are predominantly members of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Great Britain, (b) educational opportunities for the community we serve (of Greeks and Greek Cypriots who are first, second, or even sometimes third generation immigrants), (c) social, welfare and cultural activities, and (d) an information centre.

To advance the education of the public by the establishment of a Maritime Museum in the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness and to collect, preserve restore, improve enhance, use and maintain features and objects of historical, industrial and social interest relating to the past and in particular the Maritime history of the Furness District.

Conserve red squirrels by feeding,improving habitat and advising on timing of timber operations to avoid breeding season. Controlling grey squirrels in north east Cumbria. Educating the public on the best ways of doing this and to the threat of squirrel pox and tree damage as a result of grey squirrels.

For the benefit of the inhabitants of Coniston and the surroundingarea facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation ofpeople who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth age infirmity ordisablement financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for thepublic at large in the interests of social welfare with the object of improvingconditions of life

The relief of poverty in the Barrow in Furness area by providing food

We are a voluntary Committee led Pre - Nursery providing education in the EYFS for children 2-4 years.

Our management team of trustees fund and operate our village hall on a non profit making, voluntary, basis, to provide a meeting place for our community. The hall provides a venue which is hired, on a part subsidised basis (from our fundraising), by a wide variety of groups providing safe and inclusive services to all ages and sectors of our local villages and the wider West Cumbrian community

The Whitehaven Foyer Company aims to offer accomodation and activities to inspire young people in West Cumbria.

THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION AND BOARDING FOR BOYS AND GIRLS TOGETHER WITH ANCILLIARY EDUCATIONAL AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY INCLUDING A SUMMER SCHOOL FOR LOCAL CHILDREN.
