We aim to Educate people about mining at Nenthead and in the North Pennines by researching, restoring, maintaining, owning and exploring the historic and natural features relating to mining,quarrying and smelting. We guide people into an old lead and zinc mine, carry out maintenance of the ancient monument, hold an archive of documents and have a collection of mining artefacts.

We are a Baptist Church which serves the Community. We have times of worship, Bible studies, Prayer Meetings, Toddler Groups, Soup Lunch, After School Club, Brunch Clubs during the school holidays, Gardening groupBarrow Food Bank,Recreation activities - Brownies, dance group, music rehearsals and shows.Training - Casualty Union, Assistance Dog training.Children's Parties

Music/Arts Education

We run a recreation ground and swimming pool and promote it for the benefit of inhabitants and visitors to Greystoke and surrounding areas in Cumbria. We operate an open air heated swimming pool along with its changing rooms and cafe. We also maintain two children's play areas and the playing fields which are used by the village football team adn the local primary school.

Mountain Rescue Team

To promote the advancement of the Christian religion in Cumbria, working with all denominations for the relief of poverty and the advancement of education to encourage churches in the county to grow together in trust and mutual acceptance through shared worship, learning, service and the promotion of ecumenical strategies.

Providing a centre for arts and creative industries where local residents, particularly those from disadvantaged groups, can access facilities and activities to develop a diverse range of creative, media and arts disciplines.

Provision of health and recreational activities through the medium of sport for the inhabitants of Haverigg and the surrounding district

The Charity's main activities revolve around organising community based fund raising events to generate funds to build a new community facility.

For Further Education

The Income of the charity is derived from investments and the annual donations made by the charity cover a wide range of activities. Particular emphasis is given to charities operating in the South Tyne area of Northumberland.
