The charity offers affordable rented accommodation in the local area of Bampton and Bampton Grange near Penrith in Cumbria. We also offer grants towards educational needs such as equipment , clothing, Duke of Edinburgh awards, educational trips, community projects and hardship funding.

Christian worship throughout the year, events such as harvest, carol singing, exhibitions, weddings, baptisms and funerals. Welcoming visitors, the church is open each day. Maintenance of the buildings and churchyard. Providing information and publicity about the the church and surrounding area. Maintaining contact with and supporting the local community. Mission to walkers and climbers.

We offer 24/7 emotional support by telephone, email, webchat and face to face to anyone who is in distress and despair including people who are feeling suicidal. We also do outreach work in schools and prisons and also have partnership with Network Rail.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation, in particular by the provision of facilities for the sport of rowing

The 2nd Penrith Scout Group provides a broad range of indoor and outdoor activities for young people - both boys and girls, aged 6 to 8 (Beavers), aged 8 to 10.5 (Cubs) and 10.5 to 14 (Scouts). The different groups meet on weekday evenings at a dedicated scout hut building in the middle of the small town of Penrith, Cumbria.

Our activities are to advance the Christian faith in accordance with the Statement of Beliefs, to relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind including through the provision of counselling and support in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees from time to time may think fit

Member Lancaster Canal Regeneration Partnership.Canal RestorationInstallation/maintenance of information boards, signage, canal side seats in liaison with CRT.Monitors canal side planning applications.Holds regular volunteer working parties for specific projects.Provides boat trips, talks, public meetings, canal festivals, shows etc for publicity, recruitment and fundraising

Borderline's objectives are to offer general counselling to the community and provide pastoral care and counselling training.

Support of local charities and community projects in Battersea, Brixton and Clapham as well as support of charitable objects of Rotary International

The Objects of the charity are:(i) to advance the Jewish religion for the benefit of the public in accordance with the doctrines of the Jewish religion(ii) to advance education for the benefit of the public(iii) for any such purposes deemed charitable by the law of England and Wales as the Trustees of the Congregation shall from time to time determine.

PROVIDES SCOUTING ACTIVITIES

Manager a sports centre.

To attend generally to the welfare of all boxer dogs in the North of England in need of care and attention or re-homing. To promote kindness to animals, encouraging and educating on repsonsible pet ownership

The charity runs a Christian bookshop with books, bibles, bible notes, Christian artifacts etc. on sale.

Grant making

Traditional payments to needy residents. Assistance given to local causes for charitable purposes.

To provide facilities for recreation and leisure time to improve the lives of the inhabitants of the Risedale Ward by securing the establishment of the Community Centre and to maintain, manage and co-operate with local statutory authority in the maintanence and management of the Community Centre. To administer the charitable monies donated to the Rotary Club of Furness for the relief of the poor, and needy, in their widest sense, primarily throughout Cumbria, but also throughout the world.The trust carries out these objectives through a number of community based activities designed to raise awareness of needs,whilst at the same time raising funds to be donated to those needy causes.

Management and improvement of Langwathby Public Hall

The Westmorland Orchestra is a "classical" symphony orchestra with around 50 members. We rehearse weekly in Kendal and present 3 concerts each year in Kendal and elsewhere in Westmorland. Our repertoire is broad and includes occasional commissions of new works.

Families Matter is a counselling and support service. We aim to promote emotional well being, improve mental health, and reduce the impact of poverty in the Furness and South Lakes area by providing a professional counselling service for children, young people and their families who find it difficult to pay because they are on statutory benefits, are low-waged or unwaged.
