Promoting the wellbeing of people over the age of 50 to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience

The Trustees operate a day nursery for children from babies up to the compulsory schooling age. We provide care, education and play, both in the nursery premises and by taking the children on outings. We assist in the education of school age children in the community, and the parents of the children, as they come into the nursery and are involved.

The Howgill Family Centre aims to provide support for Children and Families throughout West Cumbria so that every child might have equality of opportunity to achieve their full potential. The organisation coordinates Centre-based activities, Home Support and Community outreach projects.

We support the recovery of all those affected by rape, exploitation, sexual and domestic abuse across Cumbria. Our holistic and trauma informed services offer advice, support, advocacy and therapy.1:1 work in schools, plus workshops and training.Support groupsTraining and Education.Work in schools.

We promote, co-ordinate and secure adequate search and rescue arrangements, primarily in the mountainous areas of Cumbria. We undertake publicity where necessary in order to inform or educate the public in all aspects of mountain safety. We represent and support all our member rescue teams with help, guidance, training, funding and advice, including fundraising for them.

Revivall Church in Welwyn Garden City, Waltham Cross, Milton Keynes, Kendal, Bracknell and Bath are congregations of the charity. Revivall's bible college River Bible Institute (RBI) is also located in Welwyn Garden City. The church is very lively with Connect Groups, Children's and Youth Groups.

Agricultural Society

The Trust presents a wide range of artistic productions that are of educational and cultural value to the community. It manages and maintains appropriate premises at Rosehill and seeks to involve the local community by encouraging the use of its premises and facilities as a resource for performances and other activities.

The charity provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone within the districts of Carlisle and Eden and the surrounding areas on their rights and responsibilities.

Newcastle Law Centre was established in 1978 to promote access to legal justice and promote social justice and serve the needs of traditionally oppressed groups and those whose access to the legal system is restricted. The Law Centre seeks to achieve this by employing a variety of methods of work, including individual casework and advice work, training , and provision of meeting place facilities.

We provide support to children diagnosed with cancer, and their families, who are being treated at the Great North Children's Hospital. We fund research to find more effective, individualised treatments for childhood cancer.

The Eden Rivers Trust is a conservation charity based in Penrith with two main objectives: - To conserve, protect and improve the River Eden, its tributaries and the flora and fauna in and adjacent to them.- To increase public awareness of the importance of the River Eden and its catchment through education.These aims are met through our research, conservation and education projects.

We empower people (adults and children/young people) affected by rape, sexual abuse, or sexualised violence to recover from their trauma so they can lead safe and fulfilling lives. We cover issues including childhood abuse, child sexual exploitation, trafficking, sex workers and online abuse. We offer face to face and online counselling, play therapy, pre-trial therapy, education & peer support

The Charity's aim is to use the donations received to enhance the services provided by University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, thereby improving patient care. This is acheived through the provision of additional equipment, services, training and education. The Charity also funds items directly related to patient and staff welfare which could not be purchased using NHS funds.

The provision of grants to fund research into rheumatology, cancer and the relief of arthritis. The provision of equipment or grants for equipment and / or caring services to assist with the relief of sickness caused by rheumatological problems, arthritis and / or cancer, such equipment or grants for equipment and / or caring services not normally being provided by the Local Health Authority.

A local Mind association providing a range of services to support people experiencing emotional distress and poor mental wellbeing. We provide supported housing, a range of activities from a Wellbeing Centre including groups, peer support, outdoor access , counselling, supported volunteering, advice and information, outreach, anti stigma and promotional work, charity shop.
