MAINTENANCE OF BROUGH MEMORIAL HALL FOR USE BY MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY FOR RECREATION, PUBLIC MEETINGS, MEETINGS OF VARIOUS LOCAL ORGANISATIONS, FUND-RAISING FUNCTIONS FOR LOCAL GROUPS, PRIVATE FUNCTIONS.

The focus of the activities of Churches Together in Penrith is the advancement of the Christian religion, the relief of poverty and the advancement of education and any other purposes which are charitable according to the law of England and Wales.

1.The relief of poverty for persons living in Kendal and District through the provision of a free debt counselling service.2.By providing education to the public living in Kendal and District in matters relating to the management of their personal finances and well-being.3.The advancement of the Christian faith through care, compassion and relevant practical and spiritual help

Student grants given towards cost of books etc.Donations given to : , Crake Valley Friendship Club, , Greenodd Horticultural Society .

Provide Recreational Facilities in the Village of Dalston, Cumbria.

Advancement of education for young people in the Howgill and Sedbergh area of Cumbria

FOLK ARTS

Sponsor children at the Good Samaritan Orphanage. Raise money to help build the new orphanage and provide an umbrella for fund raising towards other projects (eg. borewells) supported by the Mission for Rural People in India.

Maintaining and renting the former schoolroom, Westward, Cumbria

Social and educational activities of benefit to people in local area

The Hall, built in 1894, is held in trust for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Burgh-by-Sands without distinction of sex, political, religious or other opinions.

1. To encourage , for the benefit of the public, the conservation and protection of damson orchards and the preservation of their genetic biodiversity, landscape and heritage value in Cumbria, including by planting and creating more damson orchards2. To advance, the education of the public in the growing, cultivation, preservation and use of the Westmorland damson variety common in Cumbria

FOLS undertakes fundraising for the benefit of the children of Lazonby C of E School, through events and activities such as school disco's, Christmas fair and hamper raffle, a monthly numbers lottery, fireworks night, sale of used clothes, sponsored cycle rides

Community Centre, Playing Fields and Children's Playground supporting activities such as Play Groups, Local Meeting Groups, Cricket, Athletics, and other community and Sporting activities.

We are a Sports and Community Centre for the Leven Valley District of Haverthwaite and surrounding villages. Activities include, Athletics, Cricket, Youth Club events and various other community activities.

Grants for such religious purposes in the Parish of Crosthwaite, near Kendal, including augmentation of the living as the Trustee after consultation with the Bishop of Carlisle may determine.

Sea rescue for any living person animal in peril from the sea.

Work to increase biodiversity and reduce carbon emissions - through activity on the ground, information and advice, and sharing best practice

Various fund-raising events involving staff, Governing Body, parents and pupils. Funds raised are given to the school to enhance the pupils education.

Raise funds to support Brampton Hospital and its patients. Support patients who require nursing/care in the community. Support Organisations with a health interest in the community.

Pays annuities/makes yearly donations to unmarried/widowed women over the age of 50 who appear to be in needy circumstances and who live in the parish of Ambleside, Cumbria.
