Hire of Village Hall

Holding events of varying types for the purpose of raising money from the public and from members of the club and thereafter dispensing the fund for the relief of the poor and needy both locally and throughout the world.

To encourage the teaching and playing of the harp, especially the clarsach or lever harp, to and by people of all ages.To educate the public to appreciate the harp, its music & history.To promote public performances of the harp.

Sport & Recreation

The object of the charity is to maintain the Parish Hall, for the communal benefit of the inhabitants of the village and its surrounds. The Management Committee aims to provide first class hall facilities at an affordable cost to voluntary organisations serving the community.

A community building serving the areas of Satterthwaite and its surrounds

The support of the charity known as Bendrigg Trust and appropriate members of the general public who otherwise cannot afford to use the facilities of Bendrigg Lodge. Support is made with grants and financial donations.

In the early 60s the original wooden hut that was Nicholforest Village Hall burned down. Money was raised for the new hall from Whist drives, dances etc. In '64 a new hall was built. In '96 with the help of a lottery grant the hall was transformed. Regular groups and societies now meet at the hall. The hall holds regular events throughout the year and it also has a Resource Centre and Library.

Scouting activities including camps and fund raising at the scout hut,in the local area and the UK

Provision of a community centre for the benefit of the residents of Allhallows parish and surrounding area. Providing facilities for hire for running of activities for people of all ages and abilities. The Management committee run a range of activities including Arts and Crafts exhibition, Monthly Bingo and Lunch Club and occasional coffee mornings and Quiz nights, to help raise funds.

Provide grants for bell restoration and bell installation projects. Fund raising to generate funds from which we give grants.

To help relieve sickness and preserve health through the provision of expertise, equipment, financial support, facilities and services as resources permit.To support the development of a comprehensive province-wide health and social care system.To support the provision of health education, disease prevention and training in health and hygiene for staff, the general public and health workers.

The community centre provides a focul point for the surrounding rural district, where community groups and individuals can hire the building for events, educational classes,or meetings, at a reasonable cost.

The Hall is managed by Arnside Women's Institute and Hall Management Commitee and is used by the local community to hold various activities.

We are a members' club based at a fully equipped workshop in Brampton, Cumbria. Membership is open to all adults in the wider community and our members are mainly retired/semi-retired. We work on our own projects with help and guidance from a fully qualified tutor. In addition to our weekly workshops, we hold social events for members and open days for the public.

CCI undertakes projects which help to maintain choral singing in Cumbria in a healthy and vibrant state.

Management of village hall/community centre, including hiring out premises and fund-raising activity to help with running costs.
