Care and upkeep of St Andrew's Church, Aikton

The charity provides watersport opportunities for both its members and the wider community. It has a strong focus on supporting young people and works with local scout, school and youth groups to provide access to healthy watersport activities. Barriers to watersport participation are minimised by providing low cost equipment and facilities, whilst maintaining a sustainable financial base.

We organise an annual musical and drama festival in Carlisle. Entries are mainly from young people but there are classes for adults. Musical classes cover singing and instrumental playing. We are members of the British and International Federation of Festivals for Music Dance and Speech.

To advance the education of pupils in the School by raising funds and providing facilities or equipment, in so far as the same are not officially funded by the Local Education Authority. To develop effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the School

Puts on several concerts a year to provide live choral music for people in the Penrith area and to raise money for other charities. Provides choral bursaries for young people who sing with the choir to enable them to continue their music education.Provides workshops and other choral events which are open to members of other local choirs and to the general public

To benefit the residents of the parish of Dalston either in part or as a whole.

The village hall is used by a variety of organisations including the youth club the village school the old peoples bingo afternoon and the parish council

Providing amenities for village activities.

The Friends of the Grand support the Blackpool Grand Theatre in different ways. They raise funds from subscriptions and social events to finance projects, primarily aimed at enhancing the comfort of our patrons. Over the last 30 years the Friends have contributed in excess of ?1million towards projects including the provision of new toilets, improved disabled access,i.e.chair lift new box office.
