THE STUDY RECORDING AND PRESERVATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION OF INFORMATION AND OTHER MATERIAL RELATING TO THE RAILWAYS OF CUMBRIA AND THE BRITISH ISLES TO ARRANGE THAT SUCH MATERIAL IS AVAILABLE FOR REFERENCE AND EXCHANGE AND TO ENCOURAGE ITS PUBLICATION FOR THE USE AND EDUCATION OF MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

We support Rosley C of E School by fund raising to provide the children at the school with the extra items that the school itself may not be able to fund.

The focus of the activities of Churches Together in Penrith is the advancement of the Christian religion, the relief of poverty and the advancement of education and any other purposes which are charitable according to the law of England and Wales.

Furness Lions Club is one of several Lions Clubs based in Cumbria. We assist in our local community where in the opinion of our members and trustees help and support is required. As members of Lions Clubs International we contribute to their appeals both at home and overseas.

To fund raise to provide additional funds for Crosby Ravensworth School. This is mostly achieved with two major fund raising events each year.

Fund raising events e.g. Christmas and Summer Fairs, coffee mornings to raise money to benefit the children in school. All money raised is used to purchase additional equipment for the children in school. It also funds workshop activities such as dance, drama, working with artists, etc.

To provide for charitable purposes only, transport for the benefit of the people of the Lancashire Lune Valley and South Cumbria areas who are in specific need by reason of their age, youth, poverty, illness or disability.

SUPPORT GROUP MADE UP OF PARENTS AND STAFF FOR THE SCHOOL TO RAISE MONEY FOR ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES AND RESOURCES AND PROVIDE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE SCHOOL AND THE WIDER COMMUNITY.

Founded in 1945, we promote music making in the county of Westmorland & Furness. We run a bi-annual musical festival in Kendal.

STRAMONGATE SCHOOL ASSOCIATION EXISTS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS OF THE SCHOOL AND ITS NURSERY SCHOOL (IF ONE EXISTS EITHER AS PART OF THE SCHOOL OR ON THE SCHOOL SITE) BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR EDUCATION AT THE SCHOOL (NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY)

A youth club for ages 11-16. Running since 1989. We provide two sessions per week and annual trips.

Organisation run by and for young people aged 10 to 26 years.
