Fundraising event throughout the year such as Summer Barbeque & Christmas fair which creates funds for extra items in the school. This year we've have supported general classroom resources as well as some items such as shelving, a white board, PE equipment and a sound system for the hall.

To promote humane behaviour towards retired police dogs in Cumbria by providing financial assistance to the owners of retired police dogs who have charge of animals that are in need of appropriate care and attention by reason of sickness, poor circumstance or ill-usage or those who are no longer in service.

Fund raising activities to provide curricular and ex-curricular additional finance for school activities

Fund raising events e.g. Christmas and Summer Fairs, coffee mornings to raise money to benefit the children in school. All money raised is used to purchase additional equipment for the children in school. It also funds workshop activities such as dance, drama, working with artists, etc.

To fund raise to provide additional funds for Crosby Ravensworth School. This is mostly achieved with two major fund raising events each year.

To provide for charitable purposes only, transport for the benefit of the people of the Lancashire Lune Valley and South Cumbria areas who are in specific need by reason of their age, youth, poverty, illness or disability.

The purpose of the bequest is to provide Bibles, other Christian books and materials and financial support in the advancement of the Christian religion in the area of Cumbria that corresponds with the parish of Ulverston in 1718, especially to those of limited means.

Village Hall - providing facilities for local interest & community groups , Over 60s, Youth Club, Parish Council, Churches, Coffee morning, Post Office outreach service, craft groups, WI, Parties & functions.

Activities asked for for by the villagers eg., Annual Village Agricultural Show, Wine Tasting Evenings, Domino Drives, Ladies sewing circle, Fashion Show, Soup lunches and Parish Council meetings 3 times a year.Our hall is available to all groups on request.

Village Hall - provision of premises for community activites, private hire and charity functions

We give grants to young people in higher education and donations to educational projects for young people.

Glassonby Village Hall is responsible for managing a parcel of land that was gifted to the Parish. The property was gifted for "the purposes of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Glassonby residing within a radius of one mile". The present aim is to rejuvenate the plot into a new community focal point that serves the present day needs and wishes of the inhabitants.

The Operations Manual was updated. The Risk Assessment revised with specific attention to environmental issues. The vessel was shown in steam for 10 days during the year and at Windermere Jetty Museum Festival of the Lake. Website and Facebook Pages were maintained. Promoted at Steam Boat Association AGM and Cumbrian Steam Gathering. A Policy for Reserves was approved for the CH accounts.
