1)TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFITOF THE PUBLIC THE PROTECTION OF WILD LIFE IN PARTICULAR OF OWLS IN THE LANCASHIRE OR WHERE EVER HELP IS NEEDED.2)TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE STUDY OF OWLSTHEIR HABITAT AND CONSERVATION

We organise fundraising events and activities to raise money for Orton C of E Primary School. The money raised goes towards funding trips out for the children and extra equipment needed in school.

Choral singing

Grants relieving either generally or individually persons resident in the Parish of Kirkby Ireleth who are in conditions of need hardship or distress by making grants of money or providing or paying for items services or facilities calculated to reduce the need hardship or distress of such persons.

Application of the annual income of the Charity in advancing the education of the pupils attending Burgh-by-Sands School, in the Parish of Burgh-by-Sands, in the County of Cumbria.

Talks of local historical interest winter months, outings to places of historical interest June, July, August. Summer exhibition in the Heritage Centre,also open for family history research and houses an archive of photographs, census records and other records relevant to Shap. First book, Mardale - Echoes and Reflections of a lost Lakeland community published September 2011.

Advancing education of the cultural history, art and heritage of the Ullswater Valley.Providing or assisting in the provision of facilities and incentives to aid conditions of life the Ullswater Valley.Advancing the establishment of community heritage centres in the Ullswater Valley.Promoting activities that inspire the use of natural and cultural heritage as inspiration in artistic work.

Income to be distributed to the Board of Trustees of the John Ruskin School for the purpose of assisting worthy and needy students to continue their education in Institutions of Higher Education.

THE ROLE OF CUMBRIA NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH ASSOCIATION IS TO REPRESENT THE MEMBERS AND PARTICIPANTS IN NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH IN CUMBRIA AND PROVIDE FOR ITS SUPPORT AND SERVICES WHICH HELP IT ACHIEVE ITS PURPOSE, AIMS AND OBJECTIVES. IN DOING SO CNWA WILL WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHERS IN LEADING, DIRECTING, PLANNING AND SUPPORTING THE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH IN CUMBRIA.

The aim of the Trust is to promote the education, in its widest sense, of young people under the age of 25. The young person or their parent must be a member or attender of a meeting of the Religious Society of Friends within the areas of Cumberland, Durham or Scotland General Meetings.

A RANGE OF CHILDCARE ACTIVITIES INCLUDING PARENT AND TODDLER, OUT OF SCHOOL CLUBS AND DAY CARE FOR CHILDREN AGED UP TO 11 YEARS.

The aims of the organisation are:i. to promote and develop public education in, and the appreciation of, the art and science of musicii. to provide opportunities for people in the area of Cumbria and South West Scotland to participate in music making.iii. To put on public concerts of musiciv. To raise money for local charities through our musical activities

To promote the improvement of the standard of riding and the advancement of road safety.

Friends of Vickerstown raises funds to enable it to support the staff and enhance the childrens time at Vickerstown School. We do so by organising events, such as Christmas Fayre and quiz night, and taking part in a local sponsored walk. We also apply for funding where deemed appropriate and when we meet the criteria.

Provides a venue for village activities which include meetings of W.I. and Parish Council. Other activities are, Dominoes, Art classes and social events organised by the Village Hall Committee.
