The Northern Fells Rural Community Development Group promotes and undertakes charitable activities of any kind for the benefit and welfare of the inhabitants, communities and organisations in the parishes of Ireby with Uldale, Boltons, Westward, Sebergham, Caldbeck, Castle Sowerby and Mungrisdale in Cumbria

The charity's objects are to benefit such other exclusively charitable objectives and purposes within the counties of Cumbria and/or Derbyshire, as the charity may determine from time to time, in particular those charitable objectives and purposes that have a connection with the John Strutt Conservation Foundation, the John Strutt Charity and the John Strutt Centre for Parrot Conservation.

Theatre & Arts Centre

Preservation of mental health: * Activities supporting this includes awareness raising and campaigning work and the provision of information. Activities supporting this include the provision of advocacy, volunteering, befriending and information services.

To broaden the education of children and young adults by producing educational plays which deal with a variety of social and cultural issues.

Kirkgate Arts celebrates the arts and the creativity, culture and heritage of the communities of Cockermouth and the wider region of West Cumbria. At our venue, the Kirkgate Centre, we bring audiences, participants and diverse professional artists together and provide facilities and support to a wide range of other creative artists, community activities and businesses,

To advance education and relieve need amongst people in Whitehaven and surrounding district. To provide support accommodation to Homeless young people 16-25yrs. To provide a Healthy living centre for the whole community with some free services to those with minor mental health problems.

The main activity of the Charity is the provision of supported sheltered housing for elderly local people

Maintain Watchtree Nature Reserve for visitors, school parties and groups. Develop the Wheelers facility providing cycles for use by disabled groups and individuals.

From our purposely designed centre, we offer a range of support to families with disabled children or any additional needs. Activities include play clubs, dance classes, mother & toddler group, soft play, IT suite, sensory suite, sibling support, educational support, agriculture, small animal petting area, specialist holiday respite, specialist adapted cycles, crafts, volunteering opportunities.

Free legal advice and representation in Carlisle, Allerdale, Copeland and Barrow. (Future plan for Eden). We tackle poverty and oppression for those who cannot access help elsewhere. More Music aims to build confidence and spirit in individuals and communities through creative arts activities particularly music. Based in the seaside town of Morecambe, More Music is a music education charity that works throughout the Lancaster district, Lancashire, the north west and internationally.

We work with victims, perpetrators and children that are are/have lived with domestic and sexual abuse. We offer free, long term practical and emotional support to individuals and families across West Cumbria. Our service includes a confidential helpline, 1-1 professional counselling for victims, perpetrators and children, group support for adult victims and children and young people.

To provide a unique Christian dimension to holidays and hospitality, and reach out to others through social action and mission, to the glory of God. This is achieved through offering travel and hospitality including opportunities for rest and recuperation in a Christian hotel.

To promote the spiritual, moral and physical welfare of persons who are or have been seafarers and their families

Based in Cumbria we provide safe, therapeutic environment's Domestic Abuse Survivors from across the UK to recover from trauma. Our refuges offer secure accommodation for women, men, and children who are homeless after fleeing domestic abuse. We also deliver holistic, person-centred community support and trauma-informed recovery programs in Westmorland and Furness along with community awareness.

The charity operates a day centre for adults with complex physical and learning disabilities within Carlisle. The charity also runs four shops which generate an income from donations that are sold on. The charity receives grant income on behalf of individuals in the community.

Drop Zone Youth Projects provides services for young people in the Furness area of cumbria. The project promotes actitivities to raise the aspirations of young people, helping young people gain access to services and access to advice and guidance.

Our vision is of a community where people can talk openly about suicide, mental health problems and emotional distress. A community where people have the resources and skills to help those experiencing suicidal thoughts and mental health problems, and to support those impacted by, or bereaved by, suicide.

STUDENTS SERVE IN THE COMMUNITY IN VARIOUS WAYS INCLUDING PRISON VISITING.
