The advancement of education at Austin Friars St Monica's School

Regular public worship open to all. The provision of sacred space for personal prayer and contemplation. Pastoral work, including visiting the sick and bereaved. Teaching of Christianity through sermons, courses and small groups. The provision of a Children's Church with a Christian ethos. Supporting other charities in the UK and overseas.

We provide support for disadvantaged families with children up to eighteen years old. Volunteers visit their allocated families in their own home on a regular basis providing friendship, support & practical assistance. Group activities for parents & children are run in different venues & often in conjunction with other agencies. We also run a Child Contact Centre for absent parents.

To provide Search and Rescue Services in Morecambe Bay, Lake District and North Lancashire areas. To prevent loss of life both human and animal. To assist all emergency services when required with our specialist skills and equipment.

To provide grants for educational needs to young people under 25 and resident in the Lakes Parish, and to the voluntary schools (and to academies that were formerly voluntary schools) in the Lakes Parish. Grants may also be given to groups or organisations where the members satisfy the age and residence requirements. Considerable aid is given to young people with special needs.

Relief of poverty by giving assistance to governesses and other ladies who meet the Society's criteria. Providing annuities, grants and subsidised accomodation for ladies in reduced circumstances

CWMET's principal activity is acting as a grant distribution body funding projects across parts of Cumbria. The grants are open to all community groups or organisations which are non-profit distributing bodies and are not under Local Authority control. They must have a constitution that allows them to support CWMET's objectives.

PROVIDES FULL DAY CARE AND NURSERY EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN FROM 3 MONTHS OLD TO 8 YEARS OLD

We aim to provide opportunities for talented young instrumentalists and singers to perform baroque music on a professional stage and, in doing so, we aim to bring the riches of the baroque music repertoire to as wide an audience as possible and to facilitate access to this music for the disadvantaged including, but not limited to, the young.

The Trust was formed in 1882 covering 28 acres of park land in central Keswick, Cumbria adjoining the river Greta. A new scheme was drawn in 1995 and management of the Parks is now the responsibility of Keswick Town Council as sole trustee.

Manna House works for the benefit of the public in South Lakeland providing advice, advocacy and a drop-in support centre for those who are homeless, vulnerably housed, lonely or needing help. The Charity also offers a range of activities to develop life and employment skills to enable service users to become active members of the local community.

TO PROVIDE CARE, EDUCATION AND SUPPORT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FROM THE SURROUNDING AREA

Shackles Off provides groups, informal education, support and activities for children, young people and the local community. These activities take place in Copeland for the benefit of those living in this area.

*Activities for all children and families in Barrow in Furness - including holiday club for children, opportunities to take part in interesting trips supporting interests, intergenerational activities, sharing of skills and wisdom, seasonal and cultural activities supporting community cohesion.*Growing,cooking and eating activities supporting families in hardship.

The Charity's objectives are to promote the conservation of wildlife including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and all kinds of plant together with the environment forming their habitat; to promote the study of, knowledge of, and interest in all such wildlife; all within the county of Cumbria.

We are a community village hall and a museum dedicated to John Ruskin, Donald Campbell and The History of Coniston

Our objective is to provide nursery and toddler facilities to the local Community including School Wrap Around facilities.

The Phoenix Youth Project delivers centre based, and outreach youth work sessions for 8 - 19 year olds in Cleator Moor and Frizington. We run two youth centres, delivering ten evening sessions each week including Friday Night sessions. We provide young people with various activities, trips, opportunities for learning and development as well having fun.

You are welcome to join us for our weekly Sunday meeting at 9:15 & 11:15am in Carlisle. Additionally we also run youth and children's activities, a toddler group, lunches and activities for older folk and from time to time other projects and events to serve Carlisle.

Our vision is of a community where people can talk openly about suicide, mental health problems and emotional distress. A community where people have the resources and skills to help those experiencing suicidal thoughts and mental health problems, and to support those impacted by, or bereaved by, suicide.

The Charity provides Occupational & Social activities byto people with physical disabilities over the age of 18 years.These activities include interacting with Social Media, domestic skills, excersise and challenge through games and visits to external places and organisations to improve social skills. The activities take place during weekdays in the main and are aimed at confidence building.

EDNE provides support to people in the North East of England affected by eating disorders/eating distress, who use food in ways which are problematic to them. We provide a safe, non-judgemental environment in which people can begin to move beyond a concentration on their symptoms to address the underlying issues which cause them to use food/food-related behaviours to manage their situation.

Provides office space, meeting and conference room facilities, adult education and training and business support. We also provide numeracy and literacy skills and help with confidence building, writing CVs often without charge and on an informal and confidential 'one to one' basis.Provides a Community Food Shop, a Meals on Wheels Service also runs 2 charity shops along with pre-loved furniture.
