We keep the village hall in good order for use by the local community. As the only facility in the area it is vital to everyone in the community who wishes to use it.

The aim of the society is to promote the development and enjoyment of choral singing in West Cumbria. The society at present has only an adult choir, though young people 15/16 years of age would be welcome.Several concerts are given each year and opportunities are taken to use professional and semi-professional singers and musicians.

Providing financial support for the education of young people (under 25yrs old - residing within the West Broughton Parish boundary). For example -help with sixth form education, university costs & help for the local primary school.

The promotion of road safety, by preparing drivers and motorcyclists to enable them to pass the Institute of Advanced Motorists' Advanced Driving/Riding Test.

The charity continues to distribute the funds to the widows of the Parishes. At Christmas and on when becoming widowed funding is given to the widows.
