We provide the building for cultural and recreational activities for the local community, and meeting space for the Bouth Women's Institute and Colton Parish Council amongst others.

The charity relates only to anyone resident in the parish of Nether Denton, Cumbria and can grant aid to either individuals or organisations to support the education of children of the parish and their general development (whether through school, college, or voluntary organisations). Grants can also be made for the prevention and relief of poverty and for community development.

To support the staff and pupils of Raughton Head School by providing resources to enhance the pupils education and learning environment. Finances are raised from various fundraising events, and spent after consultation with the headteacher.

Offers all kinds of opportunities to women, friendship, skills, campaigning, community service

Monitoring and commenting on planning applications. Liaison with local authority and railway companies over proposed developments. Lectures on relevant topics. Visits to other Civic Societies, conservation projects, historic towns and buildings. Maintenance of public gardens, community orchard and street floral displays. Organising Grange in Bloom competition and entry to Cumbria in Bloom.

To distribute funds from investments to young people in sixth form education and Universities and Colleges who live within the parishes of Burton-in-Kendal, Beetham and Arnside, Cumbria.

General charitable purposes, education and training, overseas aid and famine relief for children, the elderly, the disabled and other charities/voluntary organisations, schools and individuals as decided by the members of Rotary Club of Lancaster under the Trust Deed dated the 6th April 1973.

The aim of the charity is to advance the education of the pupils at Selside Endowed C of E School by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities not required to be provided by the local education authority for education at the school; and where appropriate, the provision of facilities, which may also benefit the wider community. This is achieved through fundraising activities.

The Fairhill Estates Charity is open to applicants from Alston Moor, in Cumbria, who are experiencing financial hardship. Examples where the Charity can assist are: payment of winter fuel bills, funeral expenses, playgroup fees, some non-mandatory school trips, provision or replacement of some household goods. They can also assist with educational needs for people over the age of 25.

PROVIDES COMMUNITY BUILDING(VILLAGE HALL)

The objects of the charity as contained in its constitution are to help children and adults to overcome the problems of dyslexia and associated learning difficulties by:Providing human resources; Providing care and counselling; Providing advocacy, advice and information.The principal activity for the financial year under review was to help children and only limited guidance given to adults.

The Trust issues small grants to students within the restricted area of the old Parish Councils of Sandwith and Rottington and a small section of Abbey Vale estate, St Bees.

Religious upkeep of the church

We are a small not for profit organisation, that fought to stop Harriston Village Hall from permanent closure, and from being sold off. Our doors are open to everyone from the very young to the elderly. We provide facilities for everyone to use in Harriston, and the surrounding area, for recreation and leisure. All our funding is put back into the upkeep, and running costs of our village hall.

We work to advance education of pupils at schools in Ankoma, Ghana and England, by supporting children from Ankoma to visit England on an educational and cultural trip. This brings children from both cultures together to create educational and cultural bonds, linking schools, teachers and pupils in a spirit of sharing and educational learning.

COMMUNITY HALL

Cursillo is a movement of the church providing a method by which Christians are empowered to grow through prayer, study and action and enabled to share God's love with everyone.

Our charity is very small and exists to help individuals in hardship or need with such things as fuel costs during the winter, car repairs, domestic white goods, and items for helping with special needs. The area we cover is Alston Moor.

Providing and maintaining reading room/hall for use and hire by general public and clubs and organisations. Running events with a view to raising funds for the benefit of the reading room.

Provides: Bowling green with pavillion, tennis court, 5 aside football pitch, childrens play area.
