General Charitable Purposes

Fundraising to improve local play facilities

provide and maintain a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Martindale

Covering Troutbeck, Troutbeck Bridge, Windermere, Bowness and Storrs (Windermere Area) in the event of acute medical emergency providing quick, voluntary assistance on behalf of the North West Ambulance Service whilst waiting for an ambulance. We also provide free HeartStart training, community talks and provide and maintain externally sited public access defibrillators throughout the area.

GRANTS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO PEOPLE LIVING IN THE PARISH OF KIRKBY LONSDALEAND USUALLY AWARDED IN DECEMBER

Support of local charities and community projects in Battersea, Brixton and Clapham as well as support of charitable objects of Rotary International

To promote equality and diversity for the public benefit and in particular the elimination of discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity of those living in Cumbria and the surrounding areas by raising awareness of the public about the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people.

Giving small grants to students entering higher education who are resident in the Parish of Allithwaite. Cumbria.

The Poor's Charity provides grants to individuals living in the parish of Edenhall, Cumbria.

Provides monthly meetings and courses for members

The promotion of awareness, skill and enjoyment in all aspects of the classical organ and organ music

Provides Radio entertainment for patients in Furness General Hospital

We have provided and maintained a hall which has been regularly used, such as by the village Sunshine Club (the over 60s), activities for young people run by North Copeland Youth Partnership, and various functions like wedding receptions and bithday parties. The hall is also used by the Parish Council and the County Council for meetings.

To provide a meeting place and activities for the community.

General charitable purposes including providing entertainment and recreational activities to the general public. The charity also provides the buildings and open spaces in which the general public can enjoy their pursuits and activities.

To provide help for those in need within the parish of Whitehaven

Provide village hall for use by parish for social and recreational purposes.

Offers financial assistance to enhance educational opportunities.

Religious activities

Supports the Parish of Patterdale, helps to defray the expenses of the Rector of Patterdale, the maintenance, repair insurance and general upkeep of St Patrick's Church Patterdale, the Parish Share, the maintenance equipment repair of Patterdale School insofar as such expenditure is not met my the Local Education Authority, and other charitable purposes as the Trustees thank fit.

We make grants towards the education and training to individual children and young people and also to local schools.
