OUR PRINCIPLE AIM IS TO SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE WHO WISH TO ENJOY OUTDOOR EDUCATION. WE PROVIDE ACCESS AND SUPPORT FOR THOSE WITH A DISABILITY AND PROVIDE GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE PLACES AT DERWENT HILL FOR THOSE EXPERIENCING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP. OUR MAIN SOURCE OF FUNDS IS FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES AND BURSARIES.

The John Ruskin School Prize Fund (sometimes referred to as The Tom Usher Fund) can provide funding for ex-John Ruskin School students towards sixth form studies, an apprenticeship or Further Education course. Applicants must be under 18 years old. Only one application per student. Applications open 1 Sept, and forms must be submitted by 31 Oct in same year. Forms available on the school website.

PROVISION OF LIFE SAVING FIRST AID TO THE COMMUNITIES OF ENDMOOR AND SURROUNDING AREA

Siddick is classed as a deprived area and the Community Association works to provide facilities for the whole community.

The objects of the charity are for any charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of Lower Holker.

Provides Radio entertainment for patients in Furness General Hospital

Awarding financial support to our local hospice, allocating monetary gifts to Elderly and needy residents residing within the boundary of the "Upper Holker Ancient Township", as well as awarding grants to apprentices who live in the same said locality.

THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE PLAYING OF FOOTBALL AND OTHER SPORTS. THIS WILL BE FINANCED THROUGH FUNDRAISING EVENTS AND DONATIONS.

Supports the Parish of Patterdale, helps to defray the expenses of the Rector of Patterdale, the maintenance, repair insurance and general upkeep of St Patrick's Church Patterdale, the Parish Share, the maintenance equipment repair of Patterdale School insofar as such expenditure is not met my the Local Education Authority, and other charitable purposes as the Trustees thank fit.
