Conferences & seminars are held on topical issues, after which the appropriate government department is informed of our discussions. We have permanent groups which are concerned with specific subjects i.e. health, education, arts & media, consumer affairs, science & technology, foreign affairs, social employment & housing issues. These groups hold regular meetings.

SCOUT GROUP

Our aim is to advance the education of the public in the performing arts by establishing and operating a community theatre in Darlington and its surrounding areas

Provision and maintenance of a Hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Hurworth and the neighbourhood without the distinction of sex, political, religious, or other opinions, and in particular for use for meetings, lectures, classes, and for other forms of education, recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

To relieve persons who have or have had Breast Cancer by the provision of support,advice, and gifts containing practical advice and products that improve morale, mood, self esteem and comfort

Management of community centre used by community groups

Maintaining and managing a centre which can be hired to groups and members of the community for business use eg Martial Arts and fitness groups or pleasure eg children's parties, food bank

The provision of wrap-around childcare before and after school to local children.

Victoria's Wish raises money by having events such as race nights, music/band nights, Tombolas, collections etc. we use the money by taking familes to events , giving grants for expenses that occur through the childs illness and providing short respite breaks for families.

To advance education of public in appreciation of music & in particular piano music through provision of recitals & concerts via such other charitable ways that trustees may determine from time to time. Our educational aims have been achieved through our continued promotion of piano recitals of classical music given entirely by professional artists of international renown.

For the public benefit, to promote public appreciation of the arts, in particular the art of community based theatre by providing training in theatrical skills and staging a variety of theatrical works in and around Bishop Auckland.

Organise the annual Martin Bequest Brass Band competion.This is to held one a yearly basis in Darlington or adjacent areas.

Walker Memorial Hall is a community centre providing space for cultural, social and sporting activities for the population of Aldbrough St. John and nearby settlements of Carlton and Stanwick.

The Military WAGS Choir Catterick Garrison routinely rehearses, and performs in public.The charity's Trustees are satisfied that the choir's activities are in accordance with its stated objectives (the study and practice of choral music to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music) and pass both the 'benefit' and 'public' aspect of the Charity Commissions' guidance.

School fundraising activities.

To advance education and relieve financial hardship amongst those seeking asylum and those with refugee status in Tees Valley, by:a) Signposting the beneficiaries to legal and other advisory services that can provide support; b) Signposting and helping the beneficiaries to access ESOL coursesc) Provision of a free interpretation service.

The Bulls are an amatuer Wheelchair Rugby Club operating out of Sedgefield in County Durham. Our main aim is the relief of disabled people by the promotion of disability sport and in particular Wheelchair Rugby in County Durham, Teesside & North Yorkshire.

Northern Prophetic School of Supernatural Ministry was founded to contribute to the vision of the region of Teesside being transformed by the life, love and power of Jesus Christ. It does this by training and educating adult students to live in a greater awareness of the Kingdom of God and to see its borders extended through a normal, Biblical, supernatural lifestyle.

To research, preserve, and promote the Northumbrian language.

The charity provides watersport opportunities for both its members and the wider community. It has a strong focus on supporting young people and works with local scout, school and youth groups to provide access to healthy watersport activities. Barriers to watersport participation are minimised by providing low cost equipment and facilities, whilst maintaining a sustainable financial base.

We are a friendly, motivated and progressive brass band. We have a flexible approach to membership and welcome players of varying ages and abilities. We have a training band, offering free tuition and instruments loan. We rehearse and are very active in the local community, representing Trimdon (and the North East) at concerts, civic functions and in competitions (locally and nationally).

Provision of Village Hall facilities for residents of Neasham and neighbouring parishes. Hosts annual Christmas Dance, regular activites such as Whist Clubs, dance clubs and private hire for children's parties, family celebrations etc. Used as Polling Stattion and for meeting of WI and Parish Council.
