SCOUT GROUP

Provision of Village Hall facilities for residents of Neasham and neighbouring parishes. Hosts annual Christmas Dance, regular activites such as Whist Clubs, dance clubs and private hire for children's parties, family celebrations etc. Used as Polling Stattion and for meeting of WI and Parish Council. Regular usage by keep fit group, history nights and coffee mornings

MANAGEMENT OF THE SKERNE PARK YOUTH AND COMMUNITY CENTRE, COLERIDGE GARDENS, DARLINGTON. PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL, SPORTS AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY.

We promote the advancement of arts education and appreciation and support the preservation of our artistic heritage. These aims are realised through the monthly lectures, study days and outings for our members and volunteer activities which include local conservation projects, Church Recording and Young Arts projects for local young people.

To provide and maintain the building for the use of the public, groups and local residents for activities in the social, educational and recreational fields. Provide equipment as required for the use of the above.

AIMS TO BE OF SERVICE TO THE CHURCH IN THE DIOCESES OF DURHAM & NEWCASTLE BY:PROMOTING THE RINGING OF BELLS FOR CHRISTIAN WORSHIP AND ON OTHER APPROPRIATE OCCASIONS;RECRUITING AND TRAINING RINGERS;ENCOURAGING THE ART OF CHANGE-RINGING;HELPING RINGERS TO IMPROVE THE STANDARD OF THEIR RINGING; ANDASSISTING WITH THE CARE OF RESTORATION OF BELLS AND THEIR FITTINGS.

Durham Anglican Cursillo is afiliated to British Anglican Cursillo Council (BACC) and operates the Cursillo method within the diocese of Durham and Newcastle. Established church members are invited to attend Cursillo weekends at which they are encouraged to grow in the christian faith through prayer and study and action. After the weekend, participants are encouraged to join a reunion group.

The Society organises a season of classical piano music concerts by International Artists from October to Easter.

Providing people living in Darlington and the surrounding area who are blind, visually impaired or who have another disability or illness which prevents them from reading printed material by the provision of a free news and information service.

To advance the Christian Faith in accordance with the Christadelphian Statement of Faith. By the holding of meetings for worship, prayer and the preaching of the Gospel, at our premises in Hurworth, Darlington, Co, Durham. Providing religious teaching and publications for all age groups. The promotion of charitably works. The provision of pastoral care.

We deliver Relationship and Sex Education in secondary and primary schools. We use prepared multimedia presentations appropriate to the ages of the children in each age group.

ACORN COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION NEWTON AYCLIFFE is a community based charity which organises events and excursions for the benefit of the residents of Newton Aycliffe and surrounding areas. Many of our residents are of low income, unemployed, elderly or infirm. We seek to improve lives by providing experiences which otherwise would be unaffordable for many.
