To provide a range of services and activities to meet the needs of the local community, such as health services and sports, as well as traditional social pursuits

We are a Brass Band based in the village of Hathern in North Leicestershire. We have 4 Bands - Hathern Band (the main 1st Section contesting Band), Hathern Youth Band (age ranges from 8 - 19years) Hathern Training Band (mostly children but some adults, all at early learning stage) and Hathern Concert Brass (a non contesting band).

The charitiy objectives are to acquire, restore, preserve and operate a representative collection of heritage railway buildings, structures, rolling stock and artefacts fo use by, exhibition to and for the education of the public in the infrastructure, management and operation of railways between Ambergate and Buxton in the County of Derbyshire.

The Centre is held in trust to be used as a village hall for recreational and religious purposes and for any other purpose for the benefit of the inhabitants of Uppertown and the surrounding neighbourhood. A range of events are held at the Centre each year and it is also available to the local community for private functions and charitable causes.

Acts as Holding Trustee for Baptist Churches in the East Midlands, approves modifications to buildings, makes grants and loans enabling work to be carried out.

The purpose of the charity is to provide physical and emotional support and relief of need to teenagers and young adults who have been diagnosed with and are being treated for cancer by the provision of grants and funding for equipment, events and other special activities that the trustees see fit to approve from time to time.

RfS offers inclusive, innovative equestrian based activities to disabled and vulnerable young people who have physical, social, learning, behavioural and mental disabilities and those who are disaffected, excluded or marginalised. Our sessions provide enjoyable, enrichment experiences to develop confidence and self-esteem, positive interaction, motivation, calmness, thoughtfulness and resilience.

Providing grants predominantly to small and medium sized charities and organisations in the East Midlands whose activities align with our charitable purposes and particular areas of focus as from time to time agreed by the charity's trustees.

The charity donates money to schools and students in the Arusha Archdiocese in Tanzania. It also sponsors young people from a Catholic secondary school in Derby who have just completed their A levels to visit schools and parishes there for three months. They are able to socialise with the Tanzanian students and help them with their English.

Instructing girls and young women in the ways of the Girlguiding Movement

To attend generally to the welfare of all boxer dogs in the North of England in need of care and attention or re-homing. To promote kindness to animals, encouraging and educating on repsonsible pet ownership

The provision and maintenance of a community centre serving the educational, recreational and social needs of the people of the Goseley estate and surrounding area

We empower male and female survivors aged 18 and over affected by childhood sexual, incest, emotional and physical abuse, neglect, rape, trafficking, and exploitation to rebuild their lives through trauma-informed recovery, personal development, education, training, and opportunities. We also raise awareness and improve professional understanding of the lifelong impact and prevalence of trauma.

To provide facilities/coaching and equipment so physically disabled people can play wheelchair basketball. The ages start from 6 yrs to 50+. Levels are beginners/recreational and competition (national league and international)The club raises awareness of disability through sport in and around the local community.

Scouting based activities for boys and girls aged 6 to 14 1/2 years of age.

The provision to disabled children and adults, of instruction and practice in horse riding and carriage driving

To relieve sick, elderly or disabled persons resident in Melbourne and nearby villages by providing or assisting in the provision of services calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons.

Raising funds to improve the Charity's property, in particular a swimming pool owned by the Charity and managed by Hathersage Parish Council.

THE CHARITY MEETS WEEKLY ON MONDAYS. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IT ORGANISES A VARIETY OF PRIVATE AND PUBLIC FUND-RAISING EVENTS AS WELL AS SUPPORTING OTHER CHARITIES AND ORGANISATIONS.

Community BBQs, Celebrate our culture, Educational Talks, inform on current events and issues that matter to our community through regular discussions.

Cancer Active Recovery Support (C.A.R.S.) based Northwest Leicestershire aims to support individuals following a cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery through a variety of free of charge community-based interventions. The charity currently delivers in Leicestershire, but is widening its provision into Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Derbyshire.

Promoting and staging an annual LGBT festival with additional smaller events in Derby
