Training Ship Danae is are a uniformed youth organisation and a unit in the Sea Cadet Corps. We meet on two evenings a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.45 to 9.15 pm. Both girls and boys join the unit and we cater for ages 10 - 18 years. There is opportunity for young people to learn new skills and be part of a safe, disciplined learning environment based on Royal Navy traditions.

We are a club which provides sporting opportunities for disabled people of various abilities and severities, the promotion of disability equality and understanding encouraging the local community to participate in the sport of wheelchair Rugby.

We give an initial grant to students attending college or university full time to help with their expenses. The Trustees may from time to time make one-off grants to schools within the parish of Whittington, or those outside the parish which are attended by students resident in the parish of Whittington.

To provide a facility seven days a week for the elderly in the Old Park Ward. Through organizing events and hiring of the centres facilities to outside sources we are able to make a donation to each pensioner in the ward prior to Christmas every year.

Ogston Bird Club studies, records and reports on the bird life on and around Ogston Reservoir, this is known as the recording area.The club has three hides for the members use.We manage a small nature reserve which is nearby. The maintenance of three Almshouses in the village of Little Eaton; the relief of persons who are in need or hardship and resident in Little Eaton; promote the education of persons under the age of 25 who are in need and resident in Little Eaton and to further religious and other charitable work in Little Eaton.

To acquire, procure or otherwise obtain and supply medical and surgical equipment, medecines, preparations, appliances and apparatus for the hospitals in Derby and South Derbyshire in order to add to the said hospitals' facilities to investigate, diagnose, prevent, relieve and cure sickness and ill health of every kind.

A concert band based in Ashby De La Zouch of over 50 playing members with a wide age range.Rehearses weekly during school term times. Entry standard for playing members ABRSM grade 5 or equivalent.Holds 3-4 public concerts annually, many in collaboration with other charities. Undertakes occasional tours.

Until Oct 2019 we operated a converted library bus but we now work from a church in Chesterfield and a Christian Bookshop in Matlock. We provide food, friendship, clothing, toiletries, sleeping bags, all with prayer when requested, to the homeless and disadvantaged. The food consists of soup, sandwiches, hot drinks, and provisions donated by Greggs. Our dedicated volunteers lead the sessions.
