We have regular school discos, table top sales, summer fairs, Christmas parties and other events throughout the year to fund raise for Buxton Infant School; a small school of around 180 pupils. This income allows the school to organise extra events for the pupils, such as an annual Arts week; take the children on outings; provide and repair playground equipment and library resources

Monthly meetings with educational and/or personal development activities for members and visitors; additional open meetings for the wider local community with speakers on educational topics; additional meetings for more specific learning activities; monthly committee meetings.

The Trustees make awards annually to certain pupils who attend or who have just left the Long Eaton School. These awards are known as the Samuel Clegg Awards, the John Crompton Memorial Prize, the Lord Houghton Award, the Ken Plampin Memorial Prize, the Roger Graham Award for Outstanding Overall Leadership and the Barbara James Environment Award.
