Healthwatch Derbyshire hears what children, young people and adults have to say about health and social care services. We then hold them to account, for how they use the information we provide to shape, inform and influence service delivery and design

We help create safer & stronger communities across Amber Valley, Erewash & surrounding areas, where families who are moving away from hardship or abuse, feel empowered to build a new future. We do this through the provision of practical & emotional support for the whole family, including Salcare Escape Domestic Abuse service, furniture warehouse, community pantry & community cafe & hub.

The settlement is established for the purpose of supporting residents of Derbyshire and its charitable organisations, voluntary organisations, educational establishments, churches community societies and community groups for the public benefit and wit the objective of improving the conditions of life for residents of Derbyshire.

SAYiT works with LGBT+ & HIV-affected young people up to age of 25 years, supporting them with the challenges they face; empowering them to make their world a better place. We deliver 3 weekly youth groups and one-to-one work. We work in schools & anywhere where young people meet. We run awareness-raising workshops & conferences for professionals, parents/carers & young people.

Alternatives provides support for adults with learning disabilities (and/or autistic spectrum disorder) in the form of an activity based day centre and by a charity shop which provides vocational opportunities. We also provide community support.

Providing support to families in need, particularly mothers fleeing domestic abuse. Providing recovery support from substance misuse dependancies to women and accommodation whilst this support is offered. Providing support & education services to non-resident beneficiaries through a range of farm-based skills development and confidence building activities.

Help with older people as needed those with disabilities, help with people of all ages that are in poverty need, providing counselling for welfare rights etc. Helping with moving accomodation hiring the transport meeting the need of material things they may need.

The charity operates the following activities. A charity shop and office that enables users of the service to gain work experience of working within a protected retail environment. The charity opertaes a voluntary weekly recreational disco event. Accomodation provision for learning disabled individuals.

The Objects are the CIO are to relieve the needs of adults and children with disabilities in Stoke on Trent and the county of Staffordshire for the public benefit by enabling them to explore activities which will promote their independence and develop their skills and abilities.

Al-Akram Trust runs an education centre providing a full time Muslim primary school that was established in 2003 and a girls secondary school that started in 2011. The trust also runs adult classes and other educational activities. The charity operates in inner city Derby in the East Midlands.

To prevent or relieve poverty in Derbyshire by: (i) Offering welfare/benefits rights advice/representation.(ii) Promoting employment/welfare rights (iii) Conducting/publishing the results of research (iv) Providing a resource service on welfare/benefit rights. Also to recruit/train local volunteers to increase skills/self-confidence and assist the work of the Centres.

On a weekly basis we go to Northampton General Hospital, BMI Three Shires- Northampton, Leicester Royal Infirmary, Kettering, Bedford, Luton & Dunstable, Nottingham City Hospital, Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Stoke On Trent, Milton Keynes University Hospital Trust to provide free gifts & support to adult cancer patients in hospital.

Our vision is that everyone in our community has a place called home. Our mission is to eradicate rough sleeping, to support those without a permanent home to achieve one and to prevent homelessness.
