Trustees of land (previously held by the church) the income from which is for the benefit of the community. In recent years this benefit has focused on the Community Hall which is used by many village organisations.

DISTRIBUTION OF MONETARY FUNDS TO THE LESS WELL OFF IN THE PARISH OF WINKLEIGH MAINLY AT CHRISTMAS TIME. SMALL DONATIONS CAN BE MADE DURING THE YEAR TO INDIVIDUALS IF FOUND TO BE IN DISTRESS.

We are an independant local branch of the Radio Amateurs Emergency Network (RAYNET) who specialise in providing the community with communication facilities in times of emergency, and Public Safety at community events. We provide specialist communications links for community events attracting crowds from a few hundred to several thousands, and assist other Raynet groups nationally.

The Campaign promotes cycling for the public benefit in and around Exeter for: 1. promotion of public health2. promotion of healthy recreation in the interests of social welfare3. promotion of public safety, particularly on the highways4. advancement of educationby means including provision of cycling facilities, services, education, and raising matters regarding cycling and transport.

The objects of the charity are to help the poor of the ancient parish of Harberton. Annual disbursements are made to each of the two churches within the parish and to qualifying parishioners.

We are no longer raising funds, however the charity still holds assets which are used to provide medical equipment and to support buiding projects with the aim of improving the lives of patients with cancer in the areas served by the oncology departments of Exeter, Torbay and North Devon.

the making of grants for the purchase of books or educational equipment

In 2024 10 peals and 10 quarter peals were rung with one for the Carols by Candlelight service. The bells were also rung for Sunday services and Christmas. We won the 6-bell striking competition and the novice competition plus one member was in the winning 8 bell novice team. We enjoyed our autumn meal. We had a new rope for the third. We joined in the 150th anniversary Guild celebrations.

Helping the general public after hospitalisation

receipt of investment income and distributions twice a year at Easter and Christmas to needy people within the immediate local area.

The charity owns 45 acres of common land in the parish of Brentor, West Devon. Half the area is managed as very low input grassland. Biodiversity surveys of this lowland heath have identified sites of national significance and targeted species (including mud snails and fritillary butterflies) for management. Volunteer working parties aid with coppicing, gorse & bracken control and tree planting

Promoting the provision of facilities for recreation within Collings Park with the object of improving the life of local residents.Promoting the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment of Collings Park.Advancing the education of the public by providing facilities and opportunities within Collings Park for learning about the natural environment.

At Christmas time our charity delivers food parcels ( Christmas Treats) to the sick and infirm and housebound to cheer them up, and let them know that someone is thinking of them at this special time. We have also extended it to those who are bereaved. We operate in the Appledore Area only.

The charity will look to attract philanthropic donations to support improved educational outcomes and life chances for children and young people across the South West through work which supports lives of choice and opportunity. SWOF will work in partnership with other key partners in the community to contribute to the development of environments, within which our young people can thrive.

The objective of the CIO is to promote the conservation of the physical andnatural environment by promoting biological diversity and carbonsequestration on the culm measures. This will be undertaken in particular butnot exclusively by acquiring land on the culm measures in Devon, managingthis land in such a way as to create, restore and protect habitats and increasecarbon sequestration,

General charitable purposes

We seek to listen, help and care for people on Saturday nights between 10.00pm and 3.00am in Okehampton. Our volunteers provide assistance where required and help diffuse tensions and anti-social behaviour. All volunteers are DBS checked and go through a comprehensive training programme. We are the Church working alongside the Council and Police in the night time economy.
