IT SEEKS TO PROVIDE PRACTICAL, EMPOWERING AND AFFIRMING SUPPORT FOR PRISONERS AND EX-PRISONERS BOTH PRIOR TO DISCHARGE AND ON RELEASE, IN ORDER THAT THEY MAY SUCCESSFULLY RE-INTEGRATE INTO THE COMMUNITY, REALISE THEIR POTENTIAL AND NOT RETURN TO PRISON.

The Appledore Book Festival raises the profile of Appledore, increases enjoyment of reading in the community for all ages and abilities through exciting events, raises money for local charitable purposes and encourages support for libraries.The Festival advances the education of the public in the subject of literature, reading and the local history of Appledore and its surrounding area.

Public worship including bible teaching and prayer. Evangelism locally, nationally and internationally. Teaching and encouragement of children and young people. Pastoral care for people of all ages.

Registered charity Seaton Gateway Theatre Company have a 30year rolling lease of the building. A wide and varied range of activities and events are organised by the company to generate funds for new equipment, furnishings and ongoing maintenance. The aim is to bring Arts and Culture to Seaton for residents and visitors alike whilst ensuring sustainability of the building.

Hakeford Woods operates a Forest School in a North Devon woodland. The woods are managed to enable a variety of activities for people of all ages including Forest School sessions for children, Wellbeing sessions for adults, family sessions, skills based courses and volunteering opportunities.The site is managed for a high degree of biodiversity.

Offering appropriate play, education and care facilities for pre-school children in the local community. Offering such opportunities for all children whatever their race, culture, religion, means or ability. Encouraging the study of the needs of such children and their families.

Opera Company

As part of the activity of prevention of and relief of poverty the church support individuals and organisations in Romania, America, India and in the UK.

The charity was formed to continue the activities of Dawlish & East Teignbridge Volunteer Bureau (Charity no. 1051265) in the Teignbridge area. It runs a Volunteer Centre, a sitting service, a nail trimming service, a home help service. It also offers a range of free community support services such as befriending, gardening, & enabling, and help identifying and accessing welfare benefits.

Delivering quality pre school - early years foundation stage education for Children aged 3 months - 5 year old,set within three age differentiated environments.

DCFA redistributes donated surplus food to families and individuals experiencing food poverty in Devon and Cornwall, thereby both saving perfectly edible food from going to landfill and feeding people who are in most of need of the food. All of the surplus food which is donated to DCFA is sourced from supermarkets, other branded food producers, farmers and growers.
