The aim of Beaford Arts is to work with the people of Devon, primarily in the Northern region, to deliver an inspiring and imaginative programme of high quality creative arts projects, events and activities and helping to address the issues of rural isolation and social exclusion; and to run a residential centre for the arts with a priority for educative work with young people.

The charity was formed to continue the activities of Dawlish & East Teignbridge Volunteer Bureau (Charity no. 1051265) in the Teignbridge area. It runs a Volunteer Centre, a sitting service, a nail trimming service, a home help service. It also offers a range of free community support services such as befriending, gardening, & enabling, and help identifying and accessing welfare benefits.

Promoting in the ecclesiastical parish the whole mission of the Church and the maintenance of a Grade 1 listen building and associated churchyard for the benefit of the local community.

This charity was formed to take over the existing charity Friends and Families of Special Children which is an unincorporated oranisation with charity no 1114692. This duly happened with effect from 1/6/2012.

TO FOSTER AND PROMOTE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF CORNWALL, BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AND COACHING FOR GYMNASTICS AND OTHER SPORTS

DCFA redistributes donated surplus food to families and individuals experiencing food poverty in Devon and Cornwall, thereby both saving perfectly edible food from going to landfill and feeding people who are in most of need of the food. All of the surplus food which is donated to DCFA is sourced from supermarkets, other branded food producers, farmers and growers.

Provision of supported sheltered accommodation for up to 13 independent older people in 12 x studio flats and 1 x maisonette in one building, Harding House, in Exmouth, East Devon. Two cooked meals a day in communal dining room. Residents prepare own breakfasts. Communal lounge and garden. General and domestic support provided by staff - not 24 hours. Residents buy in personal care if needed.

Action East Devon is a local service delivery charity that develops services which improve mental-health, wellbeing and connectivity. We do this by working with people, groups and communities to deliver projects which are based on real need and deliver real change.

Volunteering in Health is a social prescribing health and wellbeing charity based in the local hospital. We support lonely, isolated people in Teignmouth, Dawlish and Chudleigh in South Devon mainly through 1:1 home visits to help empower people to take more control over their own health and wellbeing. Our volunteers support with transport to medical appointments, administration and befriending.

To provide support, resources & facilities to visually impaired people across Devon by:- Offering advice and support about equipment & magnifiers. To sell equipment where required.- Informing about Charity services and signposting to other services- Matching people to trained volunteers who can visit them or take them out.- Running social and training activities- Providing grants

Providing emotional support and advocacy to Black and Minoritized victims of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence.

Devon Horse and Pony Sanctuary is dedicated to the care, of equines in need. We provide a loving home for equines to the end of their days and in appropriate cases will find the right loan home for the right animal. We also provide a permanent home for retired Police horses and other working equines. We will also take in emergency neglect cases and provide the appropriate care.

The relief of unemployment for the benefit of the public amongst unemployed women who are in recovery from addiction and/or have criminal convictions and/or are homeless by the provision of opportunities for work experience placements, personal development and improved employability.

Situated in Torquay, Windmill Torbay offers a wide range of services aimed at improving the well-being and social integration of Torbay residents. Activities include youth clubs, adult wellbeing and support, health and welfare initiatives and benefits advice services. We provide a safe space for people to connect, learn, and access resources.
