To promote the objects and aspirations of Scouting as outlined in the Policy, Rules and Regulations of the Scout Association (POR) and to promote safe, enjoyable water activities, particularly in the Scout and Explorer Sections, for the young people of Exeter and nearby.

Recent examples are support for the local primary school to buy educational equipment & a xmas box for the pensioners in the parish- a xmas party for the children and a social outing for the village. The community shop, the village hall, and places of worship are also supported.

Providing guitars to individuals and organisations where it is difficult to obtain or purchase them. For the purpose of developing music skills and promoting praise and worship in Churches and youth groups.

The Funds of the Trust are to be applied for or towards such charitable purposes at such time or times and in such manner as the Trustees shall in their absolute discretion think fit. The objectives are fulfilled by the Trustees through consideration of appeals and making grants or donations in response thereto.

To provide and maintain a playing field and recreation ground for the benefit of the inhabiants of the parish of South Tawton in such a manner as the committee of mangement from time to time shall think fit.

Providing an independent community space for a variety of activities for the people of Teignmouth

The Church Lands Charity administers 5 properties, the income of which, after deduction of running expenses and property maintenance expenses, is used for the making of grants for the maintenance of St Andrew's Church, Ashburton, Devon. Trustees meet approximately 4 times a year to consider requests made by the PCC.

Grants up to normally up to a limit of £250 provided for those who are in sick or in need. Support is restricted to those resident in Exmouth - being the parishes of Littleham-Cum-Exmouth and Withycombe Raleigh.

Promotes an appreciation of the art of music in all its aspects, by holding regular weekly rehearsals between September and April (approx 27 rehearsals in all) leading to two concerts per year with professional soloists and musicians.

To provide bursaries and awards to the sons and daughters of farmers or farm workers or students who can demonstrate commitment to the dairy industry and show aptitude to add value to the industry in Cornwall, Devon Somerset and Dorset who are to study a dairy-related topic at tertiary level, or equivalent.

5th North Devon (Bishops Tawton) Scout Group provides services to young persons aged 6 to 14 in the form of education, training and entertainment.

To provide and maintain a village hall for the use of the Parishes of Coldridge and Nymet Rowland and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex and of political, religious and other opinions, and for use of meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms or recreation and leisure-time occupation, to improve the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Funds are held upon trust to apply both capital and income to or for the benefit of such other charitable institutions societies and objects as the Rotary Club of South Molton shall in constituted meeting from time to time direct.

The principle objective of the charity is to advance education of young people aged between 8 and 18 years in the Totnes, South Hams and South Devon areas to get involved in music-making through workshops, ensembles, individual lessons, and performance. This is undertaken primarily by the running of a Saturday music school at the Ariel centre.

The group has existed for 50 years and has just over 50 members who join together to learn new and exciting ceramic techniques, how to make glazes, fire and maintain pottery equipment including kilns.
