The aims of the society are primarily realised by promoting professional concerts of music. During the year we promoted several such concerts. A programme of events for the next year has been arranged and the brochure giving details of these activities and of the society generally is readily available to the public.

Lamerton Parish Hall Committee as a charity is responsible for the day to day running of the Parish Hall, this is funded by hall hire fees, any extra requirements are funded by fund raising activities. The financial year 2011/12 was the fifth full year of operation of our new hall. We have had a very successful year.

By providing a social centre for men to explore creative projects that required a level of hand-skills, this has helped our members to maintain and strengthen social links and supported them to remain integral and useful members of their local community as their lives move on and change.

The Charity exists to provide financial assistance to ensure that present day and future choristers of Exeter Cathedral Choir can continue at Exeter Cathedral School (and therefore also in the cathedral choir) if their families suffer significant financial difficulties that might require them to withdraw their children from the school.

Advancement of public knowledge of the history and evolution of the Devon General Omnibus and Touring Company Limited and preservation of surviving former Devon General vehicles

Exmouth Beach Rescue provides voluntary lifeguard cover to Exmouth beach at weekends and bank holidays throughout the summer season (May bank holiday to end of September). Members are provided with training in rescue & first aid techniques as well as use & maintanence of rescue equipment (including IRB rescue craft). Safety cover also provided for water events (i.e. swimming events & triathlon).

The Maynard Parents Association supports the Maynard school and aims to enhance the education of its students by engaging in events and activities that help to provide facilities or equipment for the school.

Resolve disputes in neighbourhoods and other types of mediation (not involving children) through mediation by trained, qualified mediators (volunteers).

Sandford Parish Hall is a large hall situated in Mid Devon. The Hall is used regularly by Playgroup, Toddlers, WI, Good Companions and Brownies. Other users are Creedy Dramatic Society, Sandford School, Sandford Scout Organisation. There are also vaious classes held on a weekly basis in the Hall, these include dancing and yoga classes.

Fund raising,i.e. fetes, concerts.Voluntary work in community.Maintaining public interest and support with meetings, newsletters and other activities.

To provide accommodation for aged persons and those who are unable to access the normal accommodation provisions To keep the Jubilee House in a good state of repair and otherwise to administer the assets of the Charity.

Loan of motorbility scooters to the elderly and disabled residents and visitors to Teignmouth to enable them to get about and enjoy the facilties on offer in this seaside town. Giving their carers a break and offering equipment they might not normally have access to.We also offer our services at outside events enabling disabled and elderly attendees a chance to take part.

THE SOCIETY OPERATES AN ART & CRAFT GALLERY, SHOWCASING WORK FROM LOCAL N DEVON RESIDENTS AFTER EXPENSES ANY PROFIT FROM COMMISSION TAKEN FROM SALES OF WORK, DONATIONS & ANNUAL DRAW IS GIVEN TO ASSIST IN HELPING LOCAL CAUSES IN THE WELFARE OF THE PUBLIC.2017 A COMMUNITY AREA WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SCHOOLS AND LOCAL GROUPS TO GIVE THEM WIDER PUBLIC SUPPORT IN THE COMMUNITY. WORKSHOPS ALSO PLANNED.

To advance the education of the pupils of Bowhill Primary School and other schools in Exeter Learning Academy Trust by engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and develop relationships between staff, parents and the wider community.

Scouting

Provides a village hall building, with a main hall at ground floor level plus stage, kitchen, male & female cloakroom facilities and disabled toilet. Upstairs a meeting room and bar. Hall is used by all organisations in BEER for meetings, sports (eg badminton, bowls) and other recreational activities (eg dance classes, pilates, pantomime, dinners/dances, WI, RNLI, craft, fairs).
