SCOUTING for young people

The trustees administer and maintain the Walkhampton Memorial Hall for the benefit of the village and surrounding area.

To be a choir that is recognized for the excellence of its singing, and to use that attribute to generate funds for worthy causes. To stage high quality and popular concerts and use the income generated by such concerts, to donate to charitable and worthy organisations, and to fund the ongoing costs and development of the choir.

RAISING MONEY WITHIN THE SCHOOL AND LOCAL COMMUNITY TO BE SPENT WITH THE SCHOOL ON ENHANCING THE SCHOOL FACILITIES

a) To relieve the suffering of Horses, Ponies and Donkeys who are in need of care and attention by:i) Establishing a sanctuary for the care of such animals and rehabilitate them. ii) The provision of proper caring homes for them.iii) To educate the public on all matters concerning the welfare of Horses, Ponies and Donkeys.

Provide grants to youth clubs in Plymouth and surrounding area

Scouting for girls and boys from Beavers through to Explorers

General charitable events, providing meeting space for various local organisations, space for local entertainment events.

THT runs a range of activities to inform the public about the heritage of the Tavistock area, including guided walks, lectures and open days. Our main project is the restoration and repurposing of the Tavistock Guildhall to create a new Visitor Interpretation Centre which will introduce visitors to the history of the town and the Cornwall & West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site.

Raising money for good causes through Street Collections, Fun Runs, Musical Concerts, Quizzes and other events involving the local community.Charitable work in local community, and for donations to international charities and appeals, and to local and national charities, organisations and good causes.

To promote the awareness and development of young people

Axminster & District Choral Society is a small, local choral choir, averaging 80 singers, with a musical director. We perform three concerts yearly, in December, April, and June to a local audience of approximately 250, as well as 1 or 2 singing workshops.

To give support to anyone affected by cancer (patients or carer) through the provision of short, residential breaks which include counselling, support and advice and which are free of charge to all-comers. Under exceptional circumstances, support may be provided on a one-to-one basis and/or online.

The object of the CIO is the provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Clayhidon in the County of Devon and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, nationality, race or political, religious or other opinions, including use for: (a) meetings, lectures and classes, and (b) other forms of recreation

To provide safe youth activities as part of the worldwide Scout movement.

To or for such purpose or purposes as are recognised as charitable by English law

Provision of a pre-school which runs three sessions a week during term time, in addition to a toddler group which runs one morning a month, term time.

Raises funds to enhance the education of special needs students by providing equipment & resources not provided by local authority.

For the benefit of the wider Christian ministry and fellowship

Promotion of knowledge and access to knowledge via talks, visits and publications, in particular in relation to the collections and activities of the Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) and Devon. Supporting RAMM through the financing of acquisitions, conservation and exhibitions, and by advocacy.

The purpose of the Association is to help fund and provide facilities or items for education at the school not provided from statutory funds. Fundraising activities include: Christmas and summer fayres, sports day, sale of school calendar, jumble sales, fashion shows and various social events.
