Provides a Community Village Hall

PART OF THE UK SCOUTING ORGANISATION.

Community Hall for pre-school children, village meetings, theatre group, bridge club, keep fit, and other social activities

Our only activity is to manage, improve and promote our village hall for the benefit of our residents.

Dartmouth Green Partnerships has a team of volunteers who create floral displays for Dartmouth through the seasons and help maintain public planted spaces. It provides advice and assistance to other organisations working to improve green spaces in the town and works with schools, young people's groups, and older people. It raised funds to build the Dartmouth Community Greenhouse to grow plants.

Supporting the development and enhancement of the Museum and its collections through fundraising activities and associated Friends group.

Combe Martin Museum is a local history museum spanning three floors covering the social, trade and industry and maritime history of the surrounding area. The museum is run by volunteers with a Manager who works 12 hours per week

To maintain and improve the Village Hall, so that locally based organisations and individuals have the facilities that they need, to host their social, recreational and educational activities, at a cost that they can afford; for the benefit of all in the village; promoting a healthy, caring village community.

Provides and maintains a village hall for use by the local community.

Provision of 8 single bedroom apartments for people who are in need, hardship or distress and who are resident in the ecclesiastical parish of Starcross, Devon and it's surround's (the area of benefit) or who have connection to the area of benefit. To relieve generally or individually persons resident in, or connection to the area of benefit who are in conditions of hardship, distress.

Fivehead Village Hall is a community resource providing indoor and outdoor recreational space for the village and surrounding communities.

Provision of musical - singing, dancing, acting - performances for public education and entertainment. Shows put on twice yearly at a local theatre.

Stanley Beau Foundation supports children with life limiting illness and their families by providing holidays and short breaks in Devon as well as days out and small equipment grants.

MORTEHOE MUSEUM IS RUN BY LOCAL PEOPLE IN MORTEHOE AND THROUGH EXHIBITS PROVIDES INFORMATION ON THE LIFE, HERITAGE, CULTURE AND MARITIME HISTORY OF THE VILLAGE AND SURROUNDING AREA.

To promote, for the public benefit, the protection, conservation, enhancement, research and understanding of the Designed Landscapes of Devon and promote the education of the public on the arts, crafts, sciences, and all other matters connected with the heritage of those landscapes.

The provision of facilities for the use of local people. These include social events, meetings, children's play group, sports events such as short mat bowls

Promotes an appreciation of the art of music in all its aspects, by holding regular weekly rehearsals between September and April (approx 27 rehearsals in all) leading to two concerts per year with professional soloists and musicians.

The public performance of the works of J S Bach and other composers. Musical workshops.

The principle objective of the charity is to advance education of young people aged between 8 and 18 years in the Totnes, South Hams and South Devon areas to get involved in music-making through workshops, ensembles, individual lessons, and performance. This is undertaken primarily by the running of a Saturday music school at the Ariel centre.
