The PAW Festival aims to encourage appreciation of the arts across the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset area by staging a wide range of performances and art exhibitions. It encourages and promotes artists who live or work in Purbeck . We want to encourage younger people, support emerging artists, be adventurous and stimulate as well as inform as wide an audience as possible.

To advance the Christian religion as expressed in the Summary of Doctrine and Summary of Principles of The Liberal Catholic Church Grail Community, for the benefit of the public in particular through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals and by producing and distributing literature.

Working with Dorset Healthcare and other relevant organisations, to ensure the long-term existence of the Westminster Memorial Hospital.Supporting staff in delivering excellent standards of treatment and care by raising funds for medical equipment, vehicles, refurbishment and infrastructure projects that are beyond the affordability and scope of the NHS.

We are a committee run Pre-school (parent run) where children learn through play as specified by Ofsted.

Run Christian camps for children and young people

We make this happen through events, films, practical projects, nature-based experiences & broad community networking.

PROVISION OF A HYDROTHERAPY AND STIMULATION CENTRE IN FROME SOMERSET

To act as a Foodbank in Weymouth and surrounding area based on Christian principles by:-a) Providing emergency food to individuals and families in need and/or for distribution by charities and other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty or financial hardship.b) Such other means, including the provision of support or signposting to relevant information and other advisory services.

To provide community hall for the use of the Scouts and the community.

Grants to provide financial support to places of worship and those involved in the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ

Creating a more comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for children and their families in hospital or at home.The charity works alongside specialists to purchase equipment and refurbish areas to support not just those children who because of illness or disability find themselves in hospital for treatment but also their families who want to be with them because time is just that precious.

Safempowerment run workshops with boys and girls around mental health, respect and influence and staying safe, we also run sessions for women who have experienced trauma and who are struggling to move forward

Walford Mill provides the focus for encouraging, promoting and maintaining the highest standards of contemporary art & craft work in the region. It aims to encourage audience awareness through a programme of exhibitions and participation for all ages in a complementary education programme including lectures, seminars and practical workshops.

PERFORMING MUSICAL SHOWS, PLAYS AND CONCERTS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR THEIR EDUCATION, ENTERTAINMENT AND OCCASIONALLY FOR THE PURPOSES OF RAISING FUNDS FOR OTHER CHARITIES

Dorchester & West Dorset District Scout Council is responsible for providing Scouting for both boys and girls 6 to 25 in Dorchester and surrounding towns and villages in West Dorset. A structured programme of activities is designed to help youngsters with the guidance of trained adult leaders to achieve their full potential as individuals, responsible citizens and members of their community.

Uplyme Pre-school is a community based group that provides day care and pre-school education for children aged two to five, term time only. We are a registered charity, managed by a parent committee and governed by Ofsted.
