CHARIS works to resettle refugees in Somerset and the surrounding area providing for them the opportunity of a new life. These refugees are drawn from the most vulnerable groups and are identified through the UNHCR programs and arrive in the UK via the UK Governments Community Sponsorship Scheme.

ICN supports refugee families whilst they integrate into the local community; by teaching ESOL (English for speakers of other languages); giving immigration and welfare advice - registered OISC Level 1; and running various community & social activities for women and families. ICN also looks after unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASC) and resettled families for Local Authorities

Dorset Mind supports people with mental health problems in Dorset.

We work to help people with sight loss lead full, independent, healthy and socially active lives. We deliver practical services directly into the community to make these are as accessible as possible to all service users and while the sight loss condition itself sadly cannot be cured, the charity works to stop that sight loss from causing or leading to other physical or mental health problems.

We provide professional and practical support to organisations working within the voluntary and community sector in Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and Dorset. We want to see these communities healthy, diverse, vibrant and flourishing. Our mission is to empower the voluntary sector, enable volunteering and involve communities.
