BAND PERFORMANCES ON LYMINGTON BANDSTAND DURING SUMMER; ANNUAL CONCERT; VARIOUS PERFORMANCES FOR LOCAL CARE HOMES ETC.

The main purpose of the Society is to alleviate suffering and prevent cruelty to animals in the Weymouth and Portland area. The Society?s work consists of interventions to home stray or unwanted animals and where necessary to prevent cruelty. This involves liaison between Weymouth PAWS and other animal charities working locally.

The Trust's principal activity, in support of its evangelistic ideals, is the Postal Bible School and the encouragement and support of evangelism in Dorset and beyond.

The charity promotes the development of psychic and spiritual healing that further the harmonious development of Man and provides psychic and spiritual development programmes and healing services for the benefit of members and the public. In providing this mandate the JCPF bars no person for reasons of colour, ethnicity or creed.

Geranium Trust offers friendship & support to less fortunate & disadvantaged members of society including the elderly, people with Special Educational Needs & those living with loneliness & feeling issolated. We organise regular tea parties, roast dinners, gardening groups, nature walks and wildlife studies. We also run an LGBT plus support group with monthly coffee mornings & Sunday roast dinners

Fund raising for extra school equipment/activities. ~This includes classroom and sports equipment and play equipment, sports coaching and other activities deemed to be of value to the children.

General fund raising associated with Rotary activities

LiveTwicegives a hand-up not just a hand-out. We help the destitute and oppressed, regardless of race, religion, creed,colour or gender. We do not judge but assist those who have taken a wrong turn

Fund raising events such as discos, fetes, quiz nights, raffles to raise money to provide extra items and enriching experiences for the children at our school which are not provided for in the school budget.

GENERAL CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES. PROVIDING A PREMISES FOR USE.

The trust has a small community hall in North Shaftesbury for the benefit of the local groups of the town, particulary those who live and/or work North of the A30/A350 road. It is also used for social occasions, clubs and family gatherings.

The West Knighton Village Green Fund provide a children's play area on the village green for the benefit of the children of West Knighton and the surrounding area.

Blandford & District Lions raise funds through various events which are then re-distributed to worthy local and good causes within DT11 and to some national and international causes.

The CIO intend to provide the practical means for the general public to obtain free access to Castle Cove Beach. It is expected that this will involve footpaths and steps. We also intend to maintain the beach to enable the general public to use the beach for recreational and educational purposes. This is expected to include the organisation of beach cleaning events.

We provide a venue suitable for any functions, from children's parties to whist drives. The hall is warm and bright, with good parking facilities.

Youth Scout group

We have completed the refurbishment of our Hall, we now have modern kitchen and cloakroom facilities and a new heating system. The work was started in April and finished in October. The outside car park has been tarmac and we have a flat area for parking or fund raising.

Our PTA is a voluntary committee of parents, staff and governors, who work together to raise extra funds for the benefit of the children, whilst at the same time, bringing together the whole school community to have fun and socialize with each other.

The branch has ex service and current members of the Royal Navy together with associate members who wish to join our social meetings, outings and fundraising and also may require help, advice and information.

The Tarrant Hinton Hall trustees raise money to ensure the village hall is kept open for the community it serves.
