Christchurch has a high proportion of retired men.Many live isolated, lonely and sedentary lives that can lead to depression, obesity and related medical conditions.We provide tools & resources so they can work on hobbies or community projects amongst new-found friends.This helps them stay active and have a sense of purpose. This in turn reduces the burden on the health and social providers.

Performing a high standard of choral chamber music in towns and villages in Somerset and Dorset

The band undertakes twice weekly rehearsals with a professional conductor, at the Salvation Army headquarters in Poole which are well attended by members. We also perform regular concerts in the region to a wide variety of audiences.

Gives grants to individuals who reside within the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Pauls, Weymouth, Dorset who are in welfare need.

Geranium Trust offers friendship & support to less fortunate & disadvantaged members of society including the elderly, people with Special Educational Needs & those living with loneliness & feeling issolated. We organise regular tea parties, roast dinners, gardening groups, nature walks and wildlife studies. We also run an LGBT plus support group with monthly coffee mornings & Sunday roast dinners

Community and village gatherings. To act as a focal point for the village and surrounding communities. The hall to be hired out not only to support its finances but to encourage diverse activities, meeting groups and community interaction.

Our main activities to date are raising funds through charitable events and donations. However, the purpose of the charity is to develop and operate a skate park in Axminster

We are offering support online across the globe through our website and social media. Across the South West of England we offer practical support in the way of information packs sent/ handed out specific to where the member lives, as well as meet ups in towns & cities across the area plus home visits. We hold training days for medics to try to improve their knowledge and understanding of FND.

Management of village hall

The choir travel to various concert venues, singing to raise money for charities such as Leukaemia & Cancer Research, Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance to name but a few. Travel and other costs are taken from funds that are raised by holding coffee mornings and raffles. The choir website is now up and running thus enabling the public to find out more about the choir.

The Sea Cadet Corps is a nation wide voluntary uniformed youth organisation, open to all those aged 10 to 18 years. The intention is to help young people towards responsible adulthood by encouraging valuable personnal attributes and high standards of conduct, using a nautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy.

To provide a low cost service to the community: conflict resolution between neighbours, families, workplace, consumers or employers. Mediation requires the parties in dispute to have the right mindset for resolving their disputes. For this, we recommend a degree of present moment awareness, we call mindfulness. Mindfulness coaching is a necessary element in the mediation process we provide.

School fundraising

The object of the FTS is to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by:1. Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school2. Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

The purpose of the fund is to provide financial assistance for the advancement of education of students at The Woodroffe School, Lyme Regis. The trustees continue to apply the income of the fund to this purpose.
