Havens Community Cars CIO provides an effective, volunteer-led, community transport voluntary car scheme (VCS) for individuals from vulnerable groups including, but not limited to, older people, those with disabilities, people in rural or isolated communities or those unable to access conventional bus services or other local transport.

TO PROVIDE A RANGE OF ACTIVITIES ,SPORT AND SKILLS WHICH ARE ATTRACTIVE AND ADVENTUROUS WITHIN A CARING DISCIPLINE BASED ON THE HIGH STANDARDS OF THE ROYAL NAVY, TO WHICH YOUNG PEOPLE CAN RESPOND AND WHICH WILL, IN TURN, ASSIST THEIR DEVELOPMENT OF SELF-CONFIDENCE, SELF-DISCIPLINE, LEADERSHIP AND A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY TO THE COMMUNITY.

Scouting Activities

LS Dogs (SX) was formed in March 2003 to support the Police in the Search of missing, vulnerable people throughout both East & West Sussex, and 24 hours a day all year round.The team has now taken part in searches throughout Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Dorset, Surrey, Norfolk & Buckinghamshire, being called out on average 30-40 times a year.

This is a grant making charity which aims to distribute approximately one year's income in the course of each financial year to registered charities

Caterham, Oxted & Godstone Lions raise funds within the Tandridge DC area by organising events such as Barn Dances, Quizzes, Dinner Evenings, Music Concerts as well as collecting from the public with a Christmas float and catering at local fetes. The Lions Club supports local needy causes in their community including flood victims, Caterham Food Bank, St Catherine's Hospice and KSSA Ambulance.

Engaging local people, and young people in particular, in enhancing the natural beauty of the surroundings for the benefit of the community, the land and its wildlife, including conservation research and work, community events, education and recreation opportunities, volunteer groups, participation of local community, particularly young people, in decision making and practical development work.

Fund raising holding sales of crafts and donated goods

Supports St. Mary the Virgin Church, Hartfield. Pays expenses to the rector of Hartfield. Supports Hartfield St. Mary the Virgin School.

The Charity works in cooperation with Christians Against Poverty (CAP), a national charity (Reg charity 1097217) to provide debt counselling to those struggling in problem debt. The service is free at the point of delivery.

The Charity manages the assets of the fund which was established by Sir Henry Fermor when the school was founded.

Bexhill Heritage identifies, protects, conserves and restores heritage buildings and other structures in Bexhill. We work in partnership with Rother District Council and Bexhill Town Council to achieve these aims. We also seek to inform and educate other organisations, businesses, residents and visitors about the significance and value of Bexhill's built environment. We operate in Bexhill, Sussex.

The vesting of the land and buildings known as Frant School and the School House property and the maintenance of its status as a school and the management of School House, is still in the process of change with the sale of School House & the cessation of the school. The changes will be presented to the Charity Commission in due course to assess their accordance with the Charity Commission Scheme.

Promoting, supporting, assisting and improving the Museum of Winchelsea; maintaining and preserving or assisting in the maintenance and preservation of the Ancient Monuments of the town.

Provision of information on local activities and places of interest for local residents and visiting tourists.Organisation of a low cost transport service for elderly and disabled local residents to access medical facilities, using volunteer drivers.

The pit stop youth trust provides a range of support services and activities to young people.

The charity holds and arranges drop in sessions to provide support for those with children with learning difficulties, as wellas offering and providing funding where necessary, and organising social days with parents and carers. The charity is currently raising funds to purchase a holiday home to offer families in need.

The Eastbourne Sea Cadet Unit was formed in 1909 and affiliated to the Navy League in 1915. It is an Independent Registered Local Charity which provides constructive activity on a Royal navy theme for young people between 10 and 18 years of age to occupy their spare time. No national funding is provided, although the Royal Navy loan uniforms and some boating equipment.

The Committee exists to oversee water activity training for members of the Scout and Guide Associations in Kent, East Sussex and south-east London. We run sailing, canoeing, kayaking and windsurfing courses during the summer months at Bewl Reservoir. We also run a coastal sailing course at Whitstable and a white water kayaking course in Wales each year.

To promote and practice horticultural activities at a greenhouse in Alexandra Park (Hastings) and further restore the structure to bring it back to full use for the benefit of the community. The greenhouse is available to the community, to use the practice of horticulture as a route to mental and physical well-being, through a combination of hands on experience, education and social exchange.
