Managing and hiring of village hall for educational, recreational and social activities.

Enabling Cadets to achieve qualifications in both seamanship-related and other spheres (e.g. Health and Safety) and to obtain Duke of Edinburgh awards. Training and competing with other Sea Cadet Units in sporting activities. Raising funds towards a new Unit Headquarters, equipment purchases (sailing dinghies and a RIB) - in addition to supporting running costs.

Activities include normal Sunday and weekday services in addition to a number of special outreach activities in the village. These include events such as a harvest supper and a carol service. Weekly coffee mornings are also held.

Scouting for young people

The Essex Chamber Orchestra, popularly known as ECHO, comes together three times a yearfor intensive weekend rehearsals followed by a concert, usually at venues in Essex. Althoughoriginally conceived as a chamber orchestra, ECHO varies its forces to perform a wide varietyof programmes ranging from Baroque and Classical works to the repertoire of the 20thCentury.

Raising funds for local primary school

The Charity produces at least two productions each year which are performed to the public. In addition to this, KYDS organises regular workshops for young people to develop their skills in acting, singing and dance which also develop other skills such as confidence, communication skills and teamwork. The Charity also organises fundraising and other community events.

Promotes and advances the aesthetic education of the public, the cultivation and study of the decorative and fine arts and the giving of and to the conservation of our national artistic heritage for the benefit of the public. Provide a building and small parcel of land for the use by inhabitants of the parish of Barnston and surrounding area, without discrimination, for meetings, lectures, classes, sports or recreation to improve the lives of the inhabitants.

Woodville PTA raise money for the children of Woodville school to enable them to have extra educational items and visits not covered by the school budget. Money is raised by holding events throughout the year for the children and parents.

Aspire Powerchair Sports Club was established in 2002. It was set-up to enable young people who use powered wheelchairs the opportunity to play football.Aspire Powerchair Sports Club provide sporting opportunities through powerchair football. There are opportunities at every level from recreational right to the top.

Local community hall, run for the benefit of local community. Available for hire daytime, evenings or weekend, short hire or long term. Hall leased from local authority, trustees aim is to improve the facilities and repair of the hall from profits made from hire cahrges and/or grants.

To bring neighbourhoods together and help the police in a voluntary supporting role

The Springmead Trust has a regular commitment to manage and develop Springmead Garden for the benefit of the community.

Singing workshops and community music events for adults and children: Sharing Voices Project ( The Memory Notes - singing group for those with memory loss and their carers, training; Singing For Breathing - singing group for those with chronic lung health problems ); community workshops and events.

Our policy is to give grants at the discretion of the members of Chelmsford Lions Club following investigation and recommendation of the Trustees. Whilst in general there are no restrictions on the purpose for which a grant can be given applications for capital projects and core funding are not normally considered. Applications from Chelmsford and surrounding areas are normally given priority.

The charitable objectives of the PFA are to develop effective relationships between the staff, parents and other associated with the school, and engaging activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

The Charity raises funds solely for Great Bardfield Primary School. This enables the school to provide additional equipment, books, update and maintain IT Hardware.The funds are raised through activities organised by the Committee and the school such as Fetes, Bonfire Night events, Quizzes, Race Nights and many more.

BOYM has 5 orchestras rehearsing during term time, run by music professionals, with performances, workshops & participation and fund-raising. We have membership fees & a discretionary grant scheme (from reduced fees to full waiver), & we run an instrument loan scheme. We engage in outreach projects & concerts for schools to encourage young people to appreciate music & try musical instruments.
